Hello stampers. I just wanted to create a quick blog post before I go and visit my parents. It is such a joy to own your own business so that you can prioritize your family. Now that they are almost 91 and 85 I try to visit at least once a month. This month it will be twice! My Pap is turning 91 on November 19. In the meantime, I had given myself a deadline, to get these two samplers done and posted before I left. I will be able to truly relax with them then. These samplers are the same layout as the one in my earlier post. The first one uses Night in Bethlehem and is a traditionally religious sampler. I love the clean lines. What do you think?
I used a smoky slate base of 8″ square and basic grey squares 2 1/4″ square with white squares that are 2″ square. The focal point is basic black 4 3/4″ square with a white piece 4 1/2″ square. The framelits are cut out of basic black and copper foil. The star is crushed curry. The next sampler is made using Hearts Come Home and is more traditional in colour and theme with Santa Claus and a Christmas village look.
For this sampler I used garden green, real red, night of navy and a touch of silver glimmer paper. The dimensions and layout are the same as the other samplers. You can get a class to go kit for $25 in Canada, just message me if you want one and we will figure out the details. The reason I am starting to offer these classes to go is that I am transitioning my business and my life! Bittersweet for sure.
Please just pray for me that I will find a new home that has one room that is big enough to hold my beautiful stamp room table. Sending big hugs your way, and now I am off to visit my loved ones.

Sending wishes your way for a house with a craft room. I LOVE your sign! Did you order through a print shop?
HI Lori. I ordered my sign from a local sign company. It is huge! I love it too, makes it easy for my customers to find me especially on their first time or if the weather is bad.
Your samplers are lovely. They would make wonderful Christmas presents. I like to give seasonal gifts. That way, if someone isn’t crazy about what I have made, they only have to look at for a short period of time :-). Are you downsizing? It must be hard to leave an acreage. I moved from my huge house on an acre a couple years ago. I am on my own now so it was way too big for one person. I was happy to see it go, only because my daughter and her husband bought it. I am out there every few days and do most of the gardening in the summer.
Thanks so much Theresa. Seasonal samplers are lovely and a great way to change up your decor. You made me smile with your comment. It will be hard to leave this beautiful place but it is also getting too big for just one of us.
Jackie, I LOVE your Pampered Stamper sign.
Hi Sheryl! Thanks, I love my sign too, a local company made it for me, it sure does help my customers find my place.
Yes it does help find your place especially when it is dark out. I’m sure going to miss you when you move. I hope you don’t move too far away! I hope you had a nice visit and find the perfect house!
Love all your Christmas Creations…truly works of art! Can’t wait to get home and get busy. All this snow has me in the Christmas frame of mind!
Thanks so much Debbie…now I just need to get that tartan one done!
LUV your dining table; these seem to be poppin’ up this summer, on some of our drives thru the country.
Thanks Susan. My son Alex made that table out of reclaimed hickory from a falling down barn. I love it!!
Your Samplers are very inspiring! Where did you find frames?
Carolyn
I found them at Michael’s. Thanks for the kind words.
