Hello stampers and happy Thursday to you. Today I am sharing with you some easy cards with Toile Tidings paper. I wanted to focus on some cards for my Prime Time With The Pampered Stamper group that showed the #loveitchopit technique. The premise behind this hashtag is that in order to really love your paper and use it, you need to chop it. Paper is beautiful to look at, but it is even more beautiful when you use it on your cards.

Toile Tidings

Toile Tidings is very pretty paper that was carried over from last year. Too often we are totally caught up with what is new, so I have not yet used this paper this year I am ashamed to admit. When I finally brought it out today I remembered how much I love it! These cards are easy to recreate using whatever paper you have on hand.

Why do I love toile so much? It reminds me of the wallpaper that we had in our living room in the farmhouse growing up. Ironically, even though I am totally a “red”girl, I prefer the green side of this paper with just a pop of red from the birds. The birds are actually what inspired these cards. I used one of these birds in my weekly live YouTube videos for my virtual coffee and a card class and I had a whole whackload of them laying on my desk just begging to be used on a card. If you want to see that video, just click here.

Flying Home

This post was supposed to be published yesterday but I was busy saying goodbye and getting some last minute gifts. My flight doesn’t leave till afternoon so I have a bit of time this morning to finish this off. One of the blessings of being loved by a wonderful man in the Netherlands is that I also get to reconnect on a whole new level with some of my relatives. A very touching moment happened last week when I was visiting my cousin Machteld. Machteld’s mother died of cancer when she was ten years old so she has few memories of her. My mother was very close to her mother and when my mom was telling me a story of when she was little I knew that Machteld needed to hear this story right from my mom. So we called mom while I was at their house. Trust me, there were tears all around!

My hope is that Machteld and Henk can come to Canada and meet my mom. Family ties are so precious.

Thanks for joining me today, the next time we interact I will be in Canada again and in quarantine for two weeks. I am looking forward to my #itsallaboutthetreats event on December 15. You can still join if you like! Just click here for the details. Be sure to check out both the clearance rack and the blow-out sale as there are some amazing deals. I haven’t been on top of what is still available, but you will find out as soon as you try to order. The host code is still open if you want to get in on some extra freebies and the chance to win the A Merry Hello stamp set. Have a super day!
