Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Today I am going to be focusing on my favourite new in colour: Misty Moonlight. Of course I will also share some travel ramblings that might bring a smile to your face as it is now so difficult and risky to travel. You may as well enjoy my stories!!
Misty Moonlight Card
I have designed five cards for my In Colour Club and this is the first one featuring Misty Moonlight. The stamp set I used is called Beautiful World which really sums up how I am feeling right now. Of course when you have just been reuinted with the person you love after five months of longing, you do see the world through rose coloured glasses!!

For the background you can see that I used two of the stamps from Beautiful World to stamp around the edges. This design also mimics the globe die cut. Do you see that I used our new brass foil sheets? Complete instructions for all my In Colour cards will be provided in the free pdf that you get when you order your In Colour bundle (ink pads, cardstock, patterned paper, markers and enamel dots) You will also get ten yards of free in colour ribbon when you purchase this bundle through me.
Some Traveling Rambles
I have a question for you. Do you ever struggle with what to pack in your suitcase? You know how people often say, don’t worry, whatever you forget you can buy? Well…..that is not exactly true. Take for example micellar water. That is what I use to clean my face at night and remove makeup. Before I left I had purchased a new bottle but I thought it would add too much weight to my suitcase and decided to buy some here. I did find some here but it doesn’t work at all. My eyelashes are clogged and yucky. Now I have to go and search for something better.
Another thing that I forgot was my “interproximal brush”. Before I had braces I had never heard of such a thing, but I had a dentist appointment the day before I left and endured an hour of teeth cleaning, so I am rather adament to keep them as clean as possible! I got what I thought was the right thing at the grocery store but no, the brush is too wide and only fits though the gaps between some of my teeth! Back to the store….
The last and problably most important struggle is my hair. There is a lot of mineral content in the water here, so hair products that do a beautiful job back home work only with lacklustre effect here. Trying to get my hair to look halfway decent here is an ordeal of epic proportions. I have to keep telling myself that Gerard is worth it for me not looking nearly as nice as I usually do back home!!! My vanity is taking a hit, but thankfully he is so happy to see me that it makes no whit of difference to him!
Some Highlights
Thursday night we went out for supper inside in an actual restaurant!! I did not have to quarantine which was such a lovely surprise. The restaurant did have a hand sanitizing stand when you entered and half of the tables had been removed to ensure proper social distancing. The servers were not wearing face masks and neither were the locals that we could see walking by on the streets and through the town square. It felt great to wear long sleeves as the weather is only 17C all week! You can see I am holding on to a hat and my sunglases. I had assumed that we would be sitting outside for our supper!!

On Saturday morning there was a knock at my door. There was Gerard’s father with a beautiful bouquet of roses for me!! It almost brought a tear to my eye to feel such a welcome and such love! What a sweetheart. You can see that Gerard comes from good stock.

These gorgeous roses are grown locally by La Vie en Rose. Isn’t the colour just stunning? It reminds me of our Petal Pink.

For this flight I chose a window seat. It had been a long time since I did that because lately I like the aisle seat so that I can get up whenever I want and not disturb anyone. I also choose the aisle seat so that I can at least stretch one of my legs once in a while. This time I knew that there would be no in flight service. Instead there was a bag of provisions on my seat with water, cola, a sandwich, chocolate bar, chips and crackers. My plan was to take a Gravol as soon as the plane was in the air, watch a movie and then sleep. I watched 1917 which is based on a true story from World War 1. I highly recommend it.
Stamping Supplies
Since it is summer and since the primary purpose of my visit it to spend as much quality time as possible with Gerard, I took the minimum of stamping supplies with me. That means I will be doing some simple stamping with you and sharing with you which supplies I miss the most! That is also why I am doing another Happy Mail in Holland contest. If you send me cards in Holland that not only gives me great stories to share, it also gives me a card to share on my blog. As a thank you I am doing another contest and you will have a chance to win a stamp set worth up to $30. Mail your cards to Jackie Bultje, Bloemenlaan 6, 2691 JC, ‘s-Gravenzande, The Netherlands. This contest is open to anyone in the world!
Thanks for joining me today, I hope you have a super day!!

Hello stampers and happy Friday! Today I want to share some information about my In Colour Club. I am writing to you from the Netherlands!!! Truthfully I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am! There may be an overload of exclamation marks in this post. First we will talk about the in colours and how a club could possibly work with me in Holland and with Corona restrictions.
In Colour Cards
Here are the cards that I have made for the In Colour Club. The idea is that the cards really show off the new colours. I haven’t gone so far as to make them monochromatic like some demonstrators do but you can definitely see which colour is the most prominent in the cards.

The in colours this year are Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee.

How a Club Works During COVID19

- Lastly we will have a live Facebook video party making the cards together. The date for this will be August 30 at 7pm.
Safely In Holland
I am keeping today’s blog post short because I am now safely in Holland and it is Friday night here. Time to put my pedicured feet up and relax with Gerard. Of course it has already been a very relaxing day with the cooler temperatures I love. I started the day with sleeping in till just after 10am. Then I had a wonderful breakfast of krentebollen (raisin and currant buns) and coffee. This afternoon I had a pedicure followed by a stroll around the market where we bought fresh fish and strawberries. It was super windy today, also at the beach so our walk was a real workout!

Gerard met me at the airport with these beautiful flowers and a custom made face mask with my logo. Isn’t he just the best?

One of our traditions is a daily walk on the beach with Gerard’s dog Bailey. You can see that I am trying to stay well protected from the sun. Our joy to be together again after five months apart is incredible. COVID has taught us to not take anything for granted.
Thanks!

Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Today I am using Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Cards. I wanted to show you how very easy it is to make stunning cards using the Memories & More collection. The cards and envelopes come in all the new in colours and they are white in the inside. Once again Stampin’Up! coordination makes it so simple to create and be successful. No stress, no fuss.
Memories & More Cards
I thought it would be a good idea to show you a card in each of the new in colours: Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Bumblebee, Magenta Madness and Cinnamon Cider.

Simple Supplies
When everything coordinates it makes it really easy to create stunning cards. I simply used the Memories & More Flowers for every Season card pack and the coordinating In Colour Memories & More cards. I added the new In Colour 1/4″ ribbon and the new In Colour Enamel Dots. The stickers from the Memories & More pack are the icing on the cake. I chose to use the Tasteful Touches bundle for the sayings and the dies. These products will be available from the new catalog on June 3.
The Envelopes
In this picture you can see the envelopes and also how I used a larger Memories & More card for the inside of this card. I purposely didn’t stamp anything inside as I am not sure who the card is going to yet. It’s so nice that the insides of the cards are white!

Stepping It Up
You could easily step up these cards by using the new jar punch and the Jar of Flowers stamp set but I will save that for another day. I can promise you that you are going to LOVE the new catalog. Don’t worry though; if your wish list is long, just get the starter kit and join my team. You will get your very own discount, you can participate in my online training group and you might even build yourself a stellar and fun business doing what you love.
Just in case you want instant gratification, the items I used today are ALL available in our preorder. That means you can put them in your starter kit RIGHT NOW! Here is the link if you need a little COVID cure.
A Personal Note
Today I got two emails from KLM and it looks like I really will be flying out on Tuesday to be reconnected with the love of my life. I haven’t seen Gerard since January 29!! My plane will land on Wednesday morning at Schiphol in Amsterdam, so I know you will forgive me if there isn’t a blog post that day. I will be blogging again on Friday but I hope to connect with you by video on Facebook on Wednesday and Thursday. Thanks for joining me today, I hope you have a super day.

Hello stampers. I am a big fan of in colours. Usually you can see these colours popping up everywhere in both home decor and in fashion. Stampin’Up! gives us five new colours each year and they last for two years. This is a great addition to our core colours that gives us a great colour refresh and keeps us current. This year instead of offering an in colour club, I decided to one Epic In Colour Day instead. Summer can be difficult for gathering people together for regularly scheduled classes but stampers do like to get their hands on the new products and especially the new in colours. My advice? Get the in colours as soon as you can rather than trying to resist. You may as well get as much use out of these beautiful colours as you can.
I did a little Facebook live video showing you the products that people will be getting tomorrow. I also shared a little peek behind the scenes at my creative process. I had the bits and bobs of a card laying out with a few alternatives that I had rejected. If you missed it, you can see it here. Here are the cards that I decided to feature for this class. Originally I had hoped to use the Heirloom framelits and coordinating embossing folders but the UPS man was too late and my patience ran out. Of course as soon as I had my three cards done, he showed up!!

The top card features Pretty Peacock. I first though I would pop the middle panel onto a piece of whisper white cardstock embossed with either the Mosaic, Pinewood Planks or Tin Tile embossing folders but this looked too busy. The big white daisy on the bottom card was also supposed to find its home on this card, but I found it to be too busy as well. I really like the final card. Another twist? I had planned to use the other side of the designer series paper, a pretty gingham, but this pattern pleased me more. Who would have thought? The creative process definitely wasn’t straightforward this morning!!

This monochromatic card is pleasing to the eye. What was surprising to me is the mat of seaside spray to contrast with the pretty peacock. The in color faceted gems make the perfect muted accent to this card. The saying is from Daisy Lane. Check out the inside of the card.

I couldn’t manage a daisy on the outside of this card, so I stamped one in the inside instead. I really like this frame from Swirly Frames. Yes, there is a little smudge from my finger on the edge. Oh well, proof that life happens sometimes.

This card has a LOT going on. At first I was going to use Seaside Spray as the card base but I didn’t want Terracotta Tile to feel left out so I chose that in colour instead. That means there are four in colours happening on this card: Terracotta Tile, Seaside Spray, Purple Posy and Rococo Rose. Since all those colours are in this piece of Woven Threads patterned paper it actually works. The script paper is from the In Colour patterned paper assortment. I made the daisy by layering two of the large daisy punches and two of the small daisy punches. The centre is a half inch circle punched from seaside spray and then layered with a terracotta tile faceted gem.
The centre card is the one that Rachel received from Kay Smith on the cruise and I featured it in a post a few days ago. I hope you enjoyed these cards. Everyone who is coming to my class tomorrow at either 1pm or 7pm will be receiving 20 sheets of patterned paper, 20 sheets of assorted cardstock. five markers, four ink pads, faceted gems and five yards of ribbon. For the first time in the history of in colours we are having an issue with one of our ink pads. Purple Posy is not cooperating! Stampin’Up! is working on the third attempt to get the right dye recipe. So far it has been either foamy or not stable. We don’t want you to have an inferior product so if this third attempt is not successful then there will not be a purple posy ink pad. We still have the marker and all the other products so it is not the end of the world, but I thought you would want to know. If you want to join in on the class, I still have room for you.
Thanks so much for stopping by and if you want to help me grow my business please take a moment and pin one of these creations so that more people will see my work. Yay!! If you order these in colour supplies online then I will send you the kits for the three cards we are going to be making. Have a super day and see you tomorrow.
