Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. I am SO excited to share this beautiful new suite with you called Prized Peony. If you watch my daily Facebook live videos you will have seen the last two creations. Now you get to see them on my blog.
Prized Peony Perfection
One of the best things about Stampin’Up! is their coordination. This suite is no exception and it makes it so easy and so fun to create beautiful things. There is the stamp set with the coordinating dies, the matching paper, ribbon and gems. Wow! Such beautiful subtle colours that can be left muted or can be combined with other things for a dramatic pop of colour. You choose!
My Cards
This first card was made using a sketch challenge for a Canadian Direct Demonstrators meeting. I don’t often use sketches, but they are fun to do and it is always interesting to see what other people do with the same sketch.
Here is the sketch that I used so that you can see the measurements.
More Cards
During the video we had to choose which side of the patterned paper to use and the votes came in for petal pink. Of course I needed to now create a card with the other side too, just so that it wouldn’t feel badly! Here it is:
Just in case you are wondering where the framelit from the sentiment came from, it is in the Tasteful Touches bundle. The last card I am going to show you is my very favourite. I love jewel tones so I am glad that I still have my Lovely Lipstick blends. If you missed out, I happen to have two extra sets! I did create the card with Rococo Rose as well and it is pretty too.
I took a close up picture so you can see the sheen of the ribbon as well as the “cut” of the gems. They really are stunning and put your card up to the next level of awesomeness. Sympathy cards don’t have to be drab. The burst of colour represents the vibrancy and the love of the person who will be missed.
Rococo Rose Prized Peony
It would be unwise of me to only show you a card with a product that you can no longer get, so shove over Lovely Lipstick and make room for Rococo Rose. It turned out brighter than I expected and I am also curious if you could blend it with a little bit of real red for greater intensity.
Just in case you think you are seeing double, you are! For this picture I just laid my Rococo Rose peony on top of the Lovely Lipstick one. I didn’t feel like making another complete card.
My Video
Here is a video showing you how I made the first card. Just take a look at the first few minutes if you only want to see the paper and the coordinating items and not the actual making of the card. If you like it, please share so that others will follow my YouTube channel as well. Somehow this squirrel wants to get more views on YouTube. It remains a mystery to me that I have so many followers but so few views, so please help me!
Free Bundle Promotion
Yes, you can get this gorgeous Prized Peony bundle for free as a bonus when you get the starter kit. Here is the link to make it easy for you. It remains a mystery to me that not every single customer of mine would take me up on this offer. I would get another starter kit myself if I could! The savings are tremendous and it will feel like Christmas in June for you. Questions? Concerns? Don’t hesitate to message me and I will be happy to address them. In the meantime, thanks for stopping by and have a super day.

I do love this suite! Peony are one of my favourite flowers.
Thanks Sue! Peonies are nostalgic for me, Mom always had a few varieties blooming on our farm.
Beautiful card, love the peonies set and would love to win thank you for sharing your video.
Good luck Gail!

You’re welcome Karen and thanks for your lovely card that came in the mail yesterday. I really appreciate that.
Arggg….I had this slated for a later purchase…..now I have to have it. Great tips about using the blends….off to count my pennies….thx…huggzz
Well, if you are a demonstrator just remember if you sell five you have paid for your own. If you’re not, then you should get it for FREE as a bonus with your starter kit, no need to save pennies.
I was just outside admiring my peonies! It takes me back to my both of my grandmother’s gardens.
I’m not sure why, but I’ve always associated them with Mother’s Day. This really is a lovely sweet and very versatile!
They are not often ready in time for Mother’s day though, they would be in the States. They remind me of English roses. In Dutch they are called a “Peon Rose
Love your cards, such great ideas!
Thanks so much Lindsay.
Your peony cards are gorgeous!! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for commenting Karin!
My favourites are the Lovely Lipstick and Rococo Rose card’s! Nicely done!❤️
Thanks so much Sareeta!
I don’t usually buy suites but this was the one I wanted from the beginning. They r my fav flower. I have them all over my house. The 3D part of this stamp set is really neat as well.
I’m glad you made the 3D flower and had success, thanks for your tips.
Thank for inspiration. I love yours card.
Thanks so much Renee!
Love this suite, your cards are gorgeous and very inspiring. I love watching your videos, you always inspire me to be creative and get into my craft room which is a good thing as we are renovating.
That is wonderful to hear Shelley, thank you.
My suite just arrived and I am anxious to play with it. Your cards are an inspiration. Plus, I do need to restock my sympathy cards, I do believe I’ll be CASEing your ideas. Thank you!
That’s awesome Nancy, thanks!
The peony cards are beautiful! This stamp set is so versatile.
Thanks so much, I agree. Love the sentiments. Looking forward to making a tutorial with this set.
I wasn’t sure about this set but I am now!
That’s high praise!
This set is lovely. I really like the grey with the rose tones! Clever to use a template of sorts for the layout! May have pinned that too!
Thanks Nancy! There are tons of sketches online and even Sketch groups that you can be a part of. A lot of people feel that it jump starts their creativity.
I was so determined not to buy more flower stamps! My resolve is now shattered. I’ll have to buy this set.
Lovely cards, may need to consider this suite
Such lovely cards, inspirational
Thanks Barbara!
The set looks lovely and I enjoyed seeing how to blend the colours to create different shades for each peony you stamped.
Thanks so much Kristin, the Blends are a lot of fun to use.
Love this card! What size is the DSP layer that goes on the petal pink layer? That seems to be different than the sketch than the video card.? Thank you
The petal pink layer is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8″ so the dsp is indeed 5 1/4″ by 4″.
I loved the peony in Lovely Lipstick as it reminds me of my dark red peony bush. I also was happy to see you show how to do the resist-emboss technique earlier in the month.
Thanks for commenting and also letting me know about the emboss resist.
Your cards are inspiring.
Thanks Virginia!
I do love these flowers but wish I knew how to keep the ants off of them.
You can’t. The ants are necessary to open the flowers. Without ants, no flowers. You just have to give them a good thorough shake before you bring them into the house.
