Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. These Art Gallery cards were made during my live video on YouTube yesterday. I should actually say live “videos” since there were many of them. Truth be told it was a technologically disastrous day. I was hoping to figure out new technology so that I could stream to both YouTube and Facebook at the same time with two devices. Oh the dream!! Instead there were multitudinous mishaps.
Thankfully I did make these four cards during the last video which was successfully posted to YouTube. I will share it a little later on so you can see it too.
Art Gallery Inspiration Video
Each month or so I offer a different Parcel in the Post which gives you a selection of products from a suite to inspire your creativity. Tomorrow is the last day to order the Art Gallery Parcel in the Post. It is $32 which includes shipping anywhere in Canada. You get 4″ by 12″ pieces of all the designer series paper and the specialty acetate, 6 sheets of coordinating cardstock, 2 yards of Fine Art ribbon and the Painted Textures embossing folder. Once a month I do a YouTube video showing you what I have made with these products. Here it is.
Parcels in the Post
If you would like to purchase the Art Gallery Parcel in the Post you can either etransfer me to jackiebultje@gmail.com or pay with PayPal. I just checked and see that I have not yet made a category for this on my blog!! I hope to get to that soon. Message me if you want to arrange different methods of payment. You know me, I’m flexible!!
Thanks so much for joining me today, I hope you have a super day.
ps. Normally I have a list of products that I used but the site is having technological issues so I will post the list later. Thanks for understanding. You can check out the Fine Art Floral collection here as well.
Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Today I am sharing some cards using Paper Blooms and the die from Art Gallery. It is already evening and Rachel is cooking supper. Good smells are coming from the kitchen and it is dark outside. I am hopefully going to squeeze in a blog post before she has supper ready!
Paper Blooms
This beautiful designer series paper is free with a $60 saleabration purchase. What does that mean exactly? Purchase any Stampin’Up! products from either the annual or Occasions catalog worth $60 before shipping and tax and you get this paper for free if that is your choice. There are other saleabration freebies to choose from as well. I paired the paper with the “Just Wanted to Say” die from Art Gallery. Here it is:
This slimline card fits into a business envelope and measures 4″ by 9″. Each patterned paper piece measures 2″ by 3″. I love how all the different patterns combine for such a pleasing effect. The die from Art Gallery cuts out the words that you can space out just how you want.
Art Gallery and Gold Leafing
The second card uses the Art Gallery die and the coordinating paper from this gorgeous suite. The icing on the cake is the Gold Leafing. This product is so much fun to use and it will make you feel like a real artist. I did a video on it here.
Do you notice the letters on this card? I used our adhesive foam sheets to give the letters dimension. Simply put the cardstock on the adhesive foam sheet and then run it through the die cutting machine with the “just wanted to say” die.
How to use Gold Leafing
Basically there are two ways to use gold leafing. You can either emboss your image that has been stamped in versamark with Heat and Stick powder. As soon as this has melted pour on the gold leafing and pat it down either with your fingers or our sponging brushes. Be sure not to heat your heat and stick powder too much or it will lose its stickiness!
The other way is to simply use two sided tape like our Tear’n’Tape. Press the gold leafing onto the tape and it looks just divine. This is easiest if you do this is a container big enough to hold your card and to move your hands around in. It should also have a lid so you can keep your gold leafing stored in there. It is as light as air and will dissipate without a lid.
New Tutorial!
I would just like to draw your attention to the fact that I have a new tutorial for sale. This one features the Lots of Heart bundle and uses the products from my Love You Always Parcels in the Post. Tutorials are instant gratification but they also give added value to your stamping purchase because you will get a lot more use from them with the help of a step by step tutorial.
Thanks!
