Hello stampers and happy Friday. Today I am going to post the first fun fold card in my fancy fold card contest. This card is by Ina Eisen and it features the playful Dino Days stamp set and coordinating Dinoroar paper.
Ina Eisen’s card
Before I show you Ina’s beautiful card I want to tell you just a little bit more about this talented woman. I have found out that she is a hobby demonstrator and her upline is my friend Joanne MacTavish. Turns out that Joanne was my parents’ bank teller at the Royal Bank in Fergus. Joanne is very lucky to have Ina on her team. Before I knew that Ina was a demo, you may have seen that I was trying to recruit her to join my team! I’m looking forward to spending some time with both of them when this COVID situation is over.

There are so many great details in this fun card! Ina used the stitched nested labels dies for the focal point and fussy cut the dinosaurs out of the Dinoroar paper. This paper is on sale right now and available only while supplies last. The “miss you” is from the stamp set Enjoy Life which is also retiring.
Inside View of Dino Days card
Here is the inside of this fun card. Ina used a retired stamp set called No Bones About It.

The Measurements
I almost forgot to give you the measurements for this fun card. The cardstock base is 5 1/2″ by 4 1/4 in a colour that coordinates or contrasts with your paper. Ina used mango melody for this card.
Take a piece of patterned paper 11 3/4 inches and score at 1 3/4″, 4 3/4″ and 7 3/4″. Fold the first part back towards you (mountain fold) then fold a valley fold and then a mountain fold. Just look at the picture below and it will make sense. Adhere the largest part to the card base and decorate as desired.
Ina used the stone embossing folder that was available during saleabration on the white stitched nested label.

Video on my Facebook Page
If you want to see the video of how this card was made you can see it on my business Facebook page. It was supposed to upload to YouTube as well but my camera ran out of space so it couldn’t be saved. Bummer.
Alternative Card
I made a few alternative cards using this fun paper, but I only took one picture to share. This day has been totally nuts with every technical glitch imaginable happening. I am crazy squirrel, hear me roar!!

Thanks!

Hello stampers! Sip, sip, hooray! Doesn’t that sound like a fun stamp set? It is!! ‘Tis the season where we gather with friends, relatives and coworkers and raise a glass for a cheer or a toast. While this stamp set can be used for celebrating the season, it is also very well suited for many other occasions. Let’s take a look!
The Stamp Set

Here you can see all the possibilities with this bundle: a bubbly border, olive stick, greenert sprig, a strawberry a citrus slice, mint leaves, filler for the glasses. Your choice of martini, wine or champagne! Add in some fun sayings and your in business.
My Card
My card was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest. What caught my eye was the colour combination, the brick embossing and the chalkboard look of the saying. There was no link to a website for the card but I will include it so you can see how I adapted it to make my own card.

I added crystal effects t the strawberry, olives and lime and it looks so pretty. You can see it better in the closeup below.

My Inspiration

I love Tasha’s card. The paper strips along the edge are so clever! They come from the dinosaur paper in the annual catalog. The sparkle along the rim of the glasses is also a great touch.
I found one more card that I would like to share with you since it is a quick and easy card and it uses the “bubbly” border. It came from Amanda, and here is her website.

Sale and Retiring Christmas Items
There is a year end closeout sale happening right now, you can check it out here. Be sure to also check the tab that says retiring favourites. I am hoping that this link works and takes you to the shopping area. This day is a great one if you are a demonstrator because we get to preorder from the Occasions catalog AND get free saleabration stuff already. This has put me in the mood to prepare for saleabration and that is why I am already telling you about a unique club opportunity.
Unique Club Opportunity
Saleabration, the best sale of the year for Stampin’Up begins on January 3. I am in Holland until January 29 but no worries, I will be preparing and creating from there to give you an amazing saleabration season. If you want to earn free host sets including the Ladybug set you may want to consider being a part of the Saleabration on Steroids club. This club will meet three times during saleabration: Saturday Feb 1, Saturday Feb 29 and Saturday March 28 all at 1pm. There are three people in each club. Each person gets a turn to host and each person commits to spending $65 at each meeting.
We will create beautiful projects using saleabration and Occasions products. Most clubs have commitments that last a whole year, but this club has only a two month commitment. Space is limited so let me know as soon as possible. You can also participate online in a club if you like. I will offer exclusive videos for those participating online and you will be given a host code to use so that your order will be included in the club order.

Thanks
Thanks again for stopping by to read my blog! I appreciate your feedback as this blog is written for your enjoyment. Wishing you a lovely day with some time to reflect on all the good things that you have been blessed with and also for the challenges that you face that make you stronger, more empathetic and a better person!

by Jackie Bultje | Jul 23, 2019 | Birthday, dinoroar, kids cards |
Hello stampers. Sometimes you have bigger plans than you have energy for and you need to be able to accept that with grace and not fight it. I really wanted to make some fun things today but my energy levels were down so I decided that rather than make cards I would share a bit of the creative process with you and go from there. I wanted to use Dinoroar because it is a fun and energetic set. When you see the actual stamp set it is not quite what you get inside. Do you know why? If you look carefully it will say in small letters, images at 90%. You would be surprised at how much bigger that 10% is! I took a picture so you could see for yourself.

I find that it really helps to lay everything out on the table that you hope to use in the creation of your cards. I only had the stamp set, the framelits and the coordinating paper laid out so far. There is also coordinating ribbon and very fun epoxy shapes. When you see it all displayed, especially with the catalog also open to the suite of products, it is much easier to be inspired. If you are feeling tired like I am today, then you can start by copying or “casing” the catalog samples. That will really jump start your creativity! I will try it and let you know how it goes ok?

You can really see all the possibilities with this paper. Some of it just screams dinosaur, but others could be used with different stamps and occasions as well. I grouped the paper so that each group of two is both sides of one paper. I find that if I don’t like the one side either because of the colour or the pattern, then I do like the other side. Don’t forget that even if you don’t like a piece of patterned paper when it is uncut, it can look totally different as a narrow strip on coordinating solid cardstock. #loveitchopit and then you will be much more likely to use it rather than hoard it.
I took a few pictures of some of the samples in the catalog that I plan to use for inspiration. I will either copy them exactly or use them as a starting point. My results will be in tomorrow’s blog post.

I love, love, love the cracked egg framelit in the Dino Dies. There is lots of layering and texture in this card with the vellum and frayed denim ribbon. Using dimensionals also really makes a difference by creating a 3D effect.

Here is the last shot I took of the catalog samples, but there are more, just check it out yourself on page 98 and 99 of the annual catalog.

That’s all for today. I think I have shown you that you can use the catalogue for inspiration as well! Thanks so much for dropping by today, I really appreciate it. Just a reminder that you can always find the current host code in the sidebar of my blog. When you place an online order it is so very helpful to me if you use this code. What it does is that it puts all the orders together on one so that at the end of them month I can add on to the order with things that I need for my classes and then I can redeem host rewards. With those host rewards I can keep my class costs down as well as offer some fun prizes on the Facebook page or here on this blog. It also helps me keep my class costs down and lets me spend more money on postage to send thank you cards. I just hate to see these rewards unused.
