Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Today’s project features Gingham Berry Blessings. I adore gingham! When I was finally able to shop in a Bath and Body Works store I was thrilled to buy some of the gingham themed products. I honestly bought it just so that I could make something cute with it using our Berry Blessings paper. Do you want to see it?
Gingham Berry Blessings
I love, love, love the Berry Blessings paper. I have hoarded quite a stash with it so that I can offer a class by mail with it. Stay tuned for details. You may have heard that I am hoping to fly to the Netherlands again on Monday to be with my love for five weeks. When I get back I will of course have to quarantine for two weeks and this might be the perfect time to do a fun online event.
All I know is that tomorrow I am going to make this cute project with my Prime Time girls. Let’s take a look at it.
Of course I couldn’t decide which gingham product I liked better. One has a small gingham pattern and the other a larger one, so I bought both. You can see them in the next picture.
See the Good
Do you see the cute little card beside the gift? I was thrilled to use the stamp set “See the Good” again. Did you know that it is retiring? I know I will keep it just for this great saying. I might end up adding a little ribbon or embellishments but I do like the clean and simple look. If you would like to join my Prime Time With The Pampered Stamper group for great weekly tutorials, prizes and a monthly pdf tutorial you can do so. It is only ten dollars a month, much cheaper than attending a class (not that is an option right now!) Click here to join.
Finding What You Need
Do you sometimes have a hard time finding what you want online? It’s so easy to get confused and not know where to look. Please remember that I am only a question away! I don’t consider it a bother to get a phone call, a text, an email or any other form of communication. In response to some questions I made a short video. Maybe it will help you too.
Thanks!
Thanks for joining me today. Today I worked in the garden with Rachel and we made three new flower beds! That meant digging up lawn which was a LOT of work. So rewarding though and amazingly I am not sore yet. My arms hurt but my back is fine. I was super careful not to do any twisting motions when lifting. Here are a few quick pictures. I am still waiting for more plant material but the main work is done! I hope you have a super day.
Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. When I first saw See The Good in the new catalog I knew I had to have it. For some reason I love pear images even though I am not that fond of pears. They have such an artistic appeal to me. More than that however, was this sentiment. “When I see the good in the world, I see you.” How beautiful is that?
See the Good
We get to choose what we see in the world. It all depends on where you shine the spotlight. I choose to see the good and I really think that life is so much brighter with that viewpoint. It doesn’t always work, but when it comes to people it really is crucial. I think that is why this stamp set was on my “must have” list.
As humans, we are all flawed. We all have our shortcomings but we also all have our unique qualities that makes us pretty awesome. Someone once told me that when I encounter a difficult person, or someone that I am having difficulties with, I should “bring them into the light”. Choose to see the good in them and focus on that and you will see a different purpose. Give them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps there is some deep hurt or insecurity inside of them that makes them act the way they do. Love them as Christ has loved you and something beautiful could happen. People respond to love the way flowers respond to the sun.
My Card
The card I chose to make with this stamp set, See The Good, was totally copied from the annual catalog. Our catalog is a great source of inspiration. I am really making sure I use it as such this year and am having a lot of fun “casing” cards from it. Did you know that case is really an acronym, C.A.S.E. which means Copy And Share Everything?
Do you see the unique technique with the vellum? The words were stamped completely on the vellum in old olive. I also stamped the words on the pear (well, actually on half of the pear). You then carefully position the pear on the vellum so that word match up. It really looks beautiful doesn’t it. The pear is a DistINKtive stamp so it looks shaded and very artistic without you having to do anything special. I did ink up the pear in daffodil delight for the top one and in bumblebee for the bottom one and I sponged on some old olive and granny apple green with a sponge dauber.
