Hello stampers! Fall is definitely in the air here in southern Ontario so I was inspired to use this Paper Pumpkin kit, The Gift of Fall. For the first time Stampin’Up! has offered an add-on kit. They did this because the kit was gift bags for Thanksgiving and not everyone likes making bags even though they are adorable.
The Gift of Fall Add-on Kit
The add on was a pack of 24 note cards and envelopes that would coordinate with the rest of the products in the Paper Pumpkin kit. I saw this is a great opportunity for me to save time and to show the versatility of Paper Pumpkin. These gorgeous cards will be the feature of next week’s coffee and a card class. Coordination is one of Stampin’Up!s great selling points. When you don’t have to scramble to make things match and look good it not only saves time, it also creates good energy and fun stress free crafting. The add on kit is still available for purchase and so is the refill kit. Beautiful fall crafting is only a click away.
Here is the Paper Pumpkin refill kit. You must be a Paper Pumpkin subscriber to be able to purchase the refills.
Let’s cut to the chase and see what I came up with last night. I love making alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin supplies and I think you would too. The best part is that it all comes in a box with accessories and all.
All I added to this card was some die cuts from the Flourish dies. One was cut from gold foil paper and the other from merry merlot cardstock. It was just the extra detail I was looking for. Both the ribbon and the gold sequins are from the kit.
Do you see the stamped background? Any idea what I used? It’s the new copper Delicata ink pad. I also used it for the sentiment and then I stamped again in Memento for a shadow. This could be a bit tricky but I just eyeballed it and it worked out. You just have to hold your tongue the right way!!
For this last card I made a crumb cake card base with a layer of merry merlot. I cut down the white banner to three inches and then I used a piece of the envelope flap to make the crushed curry strip on the banner. The leaf was turned upside down and sponged with bermuda bay. The colourful banner is from the kit as is the linen thread and the gold sequins. The background was embossed in gold with the Paper Pumpkin Gift of Fall stamp.
Delicata Metallic Ink
This lovely new product adds a gorgeous touch to these cards. I used copper even though the sequins are gold. The reason? It was the only one I had and it did work. These ink pads are not cheap at $15 so I wanted to try one before I bought all three. It comes in golden glitz, silvery shimmer and celestial copper. Refills are also available. One of my favourite papers in the holiday catalog is the Brightly Gleaming paper and it has copper in it so this would coordinate perfectly don’t you think?
Before I leave you for the day I thought I would remind you that I am offering an online club called the High Flyer club. You can read all about it here. I am also considering doing a monthly online technique club. Both of these clubs would feature exclusive videos and cards and a private Facebook group where we can interact. You would take turns receiving host benefits using a host code. Stay tuned, hopefully I will have more details on this next week.
Thanks so much for joining me today. The holiday catalog is now live so you can order all the beautiful products in my online store. Please do use the current host code: ZQKK7SAB.
Have a super day and be sure to make the world a better place today, one card at a time!
