Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Today I have some fun Snowman Treat Holders for you. Those of you who know me also know that I almost never make treat holder kind of things. Truth be told, I have always been a little afraid of making 3-D things. I don’t consider myself a logical person, so I shy away from lots of folding and cutting and visualizing. It’s probably true with this as with so many other things that practice makes perfect.
Snowman Treat Holders

I think what really converted me to treat holders is that it can turn a rather simple thing into a very heartfelt and thoughtful gift. The way I made this it is also totally regiftable, just like a gift bag. That makes me especially happy. The recipient of my gift can also pay it forward now, even if they are not a paper crafter!

Pretty and Functional
The way the ribbon is tied around the chocolate bar makes it easy to take out of the package AND it looks great when it is still in the package. Don’t you love it when something is both pretty and functional?
My First Ever Box Design
I have to say that I am quite proud of the box that I designed. It was created completely without any help, just me playing with my ruler and my paper trimmer till I got it right. This might be the beginning of a new adventure.
I did a complete video tutorial of both of these projects in my private Facebook Group, Prime Time with the Pampered Stamper. This is my unique response to COVID and the fact that I can no longer offer in person classes. It is a great place to gather with stampers and teach, share and inspire. Of course there are also weekly Prize Patrol giveaways and a monthly free pdf tutorial with 16 projects. If you want to join, you CAN!! Click here and follow the steps.

I actually used a retired die from Blended Seasons bundle from a few years ago. The other supplies are Snow Wonder, Warm Hugs, misty moonlight ribbon and Flowers for Every Season twine as well as the cellophane gift bags from the holiday catalog.

What do you think? I would love to read your comments and find out whether or not you like making little boxes and treat holders.
Free Tutorial
If you live in Canada and order the Snow Wonder bundle from me using the host code then I will send YOU a free pdf tutorial with ten great cards and a home decor item.

Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for joining me. I look forward to sharing my inspiration with you again on Monday. Hugs!

by Jackie Bultje | Oct 9, 2020 | Christmas, gifts, In The Pines, thinking of you |
Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Today I am sharing with you a sweet simple card that I cased from the holiday catalog using In the Pines with a deer. In the Pines is a great stamp set that a lot of great pine trees and two versatile sayings. The beautiful deer comes from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley.
In The Pines
Here you can see the In The Pines bundle. It is a two-step stamp but you can definitely use the stamps on their own as well instead of layering.

Not only are the trees great, do you see the great landscape features? This is wonderful for creating realistic layers for horizons and snow.
Where Did the Deer Come From?
Have you ever noticed that sometimes you see a great element on a card and you have no idea where it came from? The deer on my card (that you will soon see) comes from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley which is on page 7 of the annual catalog. I love that you can now get just the refill kit which includes the paper and all the great stickers and the gold stars. The deer is one of the many stickers in this great kit.

What you can’t see so clearly in the image of the In The Pines Bundle is that one of the tree dies just cuts out this beautiful decorative tree shape as a window in your card. What a nice surprise! I love the soft look of this pool party ribbon in behind the main panel. The colours are soft sea foam, pool party and whisper white. You can see all the supplies in the list at the bottom of this blog post.
If you want to see the card I made earlier this week with In The Pines you can see it here. I have also made a lot of cards with Most Wonderful Time and hopefully they will make it into a pdf tutorial for you soon.

by Jackie Bultje | Oct 5, 2020 | Christmas, Coming Home, In The Pines |
Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Today I am sharing with you a card that uses In the Pines with Coming Home. Coming Home is the fantastic set with the cute houses and In the Pines has lots of gorgeous trees. Let’s take a look!
In the Pines With Coming Home
Coming Home has really captured my heart and my imagination. Not only do I love all the whimsical houses, I also LOVE the cause it supports. With every stamp set sold, $4 is donated to charities that support adoption, foster care and infertility. That makes my heart happy. Every house is so much more beautiful when it is surrounded with trees. This is true in real life but also on cards. Hence the addition of the stamp set In The Pines.

This is the first card that I made and I really liked it. Then I remembered the spatter technique using a water pen with white craft ink. Of course I needed to try it!

White Craft Ink Spatter Technique
Did you know that if you put a few drops of white craft ink refill on an acrylic block you can do magic? Just add a little water with your new water pen to dilute it a bit. Tap your water pen above your card and you will get a delightful spatter that looks like delicate snow. I love this so much!!

You can see from this closeup picture that I also used some Sparkly Crystal Effects with a bit of dazzling diamonds glitter for some more magic. I coloured the windows with light saffron Blends so that it looks like the house is lit up from inside.
If you want to see more cards using the Trimming the Town suite and Coming Home stamp set, check out this blog post.
Taking the Party Inside
I must confess that sometimes I forget to finish off the inside of the card, but not this time! This is a special inside because it features a simple pop up with another cute house.

I am sure you are wondering where this great sentiment is from. It is actually from a retired host set called Greatest Part of Christmas. Be sure to pay attention to our exclusive host sets. The only way to get them is to either host a qualifying workshop OR place an order of $200. As demonstrators we can also get them when we place a $200 order. If you want to save money on your stamping supplies and you live in Canada, you can! Just get the starter kit through me and you will save 20% on all your orders.
Online Christmas Extravaganza Retreat Coming Soon
By request from one of my customers I am planning an online Christmas Extravaganza Retreat. The details are still percolating in my head but I hope to share by the end of next week. I can promise you that it will be epic!!
Thanks for joining me today, I hope you have a super day.

by Jackie Bultje | Sep 16, 2020 | Christmas, Trimming the Town, Wrapped in Christmas, Z-Fold card |
Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Today’s card features a saying from Wrapped in Christmas but the focus is really the very fun Trimming the Town paper. This card was a result of the leftovers from the card I made on last Friday’s blog post.
Wrapped In Christmas
Wrapped in Christmas is a beautiful 10 piece cling stamp set with all Christmas sayings that is part of the Heartwarming Hugs suite. I love how this particular saying is long and narrow with a nice bold “JOY”. It really fits the mood of this card.

Z-Fold Card
I thought that a Z-Fold Card would be the perfect way to showcase this mountain paper with the skaters on the pond. The house is perched right on the fold and I used a pretty neat trick to make it work. Simply fold a punched circle in half. Adhere one half to the card with the straight edge of the fold along the fold of the card. Put adhesive on the other half of the circle and adhere to the house die cut.

The measurements for this card are base: 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ scored at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″. The patterned paper is 5 3/8″ by 2″ with a red strip of patterned paper tucked in behind the last panel. That strip was 5/8″ by 5 3/8″.
The New Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
On Friday I will blog about this awesome new machine. To say that I am in love with it is an understatement. Today the magnetic plate came in and I am super impressed with all the thought that went into it. I just want to leave you with this thought. The starter kit is a super special deal right now and you could just put this machine into it. No tax, no shipping AND two bonus stamp sets, a package of rhinestones and 16 card kits PLUS a coupon for a FREE Paper Pumpkin. What are you waiting for? Here is the link to get yours today. Only catch? You have to be a Canadian to join with me. You do not need a host code, so click “no” to that question.

Thanks!

Here is the link for that. I hope you have a super day!

by Jackie Bultje | Sep 11, 2020 | Christmas, Coming Home, Trimming the Town |
Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. I am giddy with excitement about my new discovery. Today I have a great, simple card for you using Coming Home with Felt! Yes, we have new festive felt sheets and they cut like a dream with our new Cut & Emboss machine. What I am really excited about though is the snow that I created! Take a look with me.
Coming Home With Felt
Coming Home is of course a great stamp set with a great cause. Did you know that $4 will be donated to adoption, foster care and fertility charities with each sale of this stamp set? Another great reason to order it today. I found that the felt cut really well with the new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. It even worked great without having to turn it sideways!! That meant that I did not have to trim the felt at all to run it through. It comes 6″ wide so that you can run it through the machine easily.
Trimming the Town Card
The suite and the paper are both called Trimming the Town. My cute little house was cut using the dies from the bundle right from this super cute paper. The mountain scene in the background is also cut from the paper. This piece measures 4″ by 5 1/4″. I was sure to not cut into any of the cute houses!

The Pieces
One crucial piece of information is that I put a piece of whisper white in behind the felt, otherwise the Misty Moonlight would show through and that wasn’t very nice. You can see how I did it in the next picture. The cute little saying is also cut right out of the Trimming the Town paper.

Close-Up with my Little Trick
This close-up photo isn’t perfect but it does let you see the adorable snow spatters. This little touch makes all the difference! Do you know how I did it? Well, you can watch my Facebook live video at 3pm EST today but I can tell you about it now.
You simply put a few drops of whisper white reinker on a block and using your water brush, mix it up till it is a little runny. Then tap the brush so that it spatters on your card. Repeat until you are happy with the coverage. Many thanks to Jana Müller for this tip.

New Machine in the Starter Kit
I have a brilliant idea for you. Do you need a new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine? It is beautiful and it works like a dream. It is also priced just right so that you can add it to your starter kit and by doing so save both the shipping and the tax. You will also get two free stamp sets, 16 card kits and a package or rhinestones as well as a coupon for a free Paper Pumpkin kit. There are no strings attached. After purchasing the starter kit you will also get a 20% discount on any orders you place either for yourself or for others until the end of January. If you want to keep your discount then you need to sell $400 every three months. Click here if you want this amazing deal. Questions? Please message me!
