Great Card for Gamers!

Hello stampers. Do you have any gamers in your life? This card would be great for any gamer!! I know very little about gaming, so I had to look up which colours I had to use to colour the controller!! This card was actually made for my daughter Rachel’s graduation from university! Isn’t that fun? Sometimes it is good to think outside the box. What would you use this stamp set for?

This personalized card uses the Alphabet à la Mode dies as well as the Level Complete stamp set all from Stampin'Up!

Rachel graduated after having to undergo more than two years of online courses due to COVID so the sayings in this set were particularly apt. If you want to see how I made the card, watch the video tutorial below. If you haven’t already, please subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Think Outside the Box

I was quite happy that I decided to use this set for a graduation card. You really don’t need a “graduation” stamp set per se to make a graduation card. Just personalize your card to suit your recipient! Of course this set would also be great for birthday cards and other achievements. It was also very liberating to choose a black and white colour scheme. The sparkle from the More Dazzle paper keeps this card from being boring. Don’t you think it is a great card for gamers?

Do you have any gamers in your life that would be thrilled with a card like this? Perhaps you have a few who would be tickled to make their own cards or birthday invitations with this set. Have fun stamping!! It’s great to find things to do together as a family, and stamping and papercrafting might be just the thing for you.

Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Today’s topic, something borrowed, something blue, would make you think that perhaps I would be talking wedding talk but that is not the case. Some time in the near future though, that will definitely be a very hot topic. More on that later. Today I am “borrowing” some cards and one of them is blue.

Something Borrowed

Today my future sisters-in-law took me out for lunch to celebrate my birthday which is next week Tuesday. It was so very lovely. I also had a hair appointment this morning and then I went to my favourite bakery to stock up on raisin buns to take home! All in all, no time for card making and writing a blog post. What to do? Well, I was trolling the internet while having a bath (I know, I know, what a life?!) I came across this fabulous card by Nancy Novak. I thought you would enjoy it too. Read all about it on her blog here.

To see another graduation card that I made a while ago, check out this blog post.

Something Blue

I just noticed that both cards are blue!! The next one is a Father’s Day card and it uses the Tailor Made tags which I think are super versatile. This is the second card that I have seen this week using these tags. Hmmmm. Temptation is calling but I have a niggling feeling that I might already have them back in Canada.

Something Blue

This card is made by Christi Redding but I cannot find her blog anywhere. Here is her Pinterest board if you want to check it out.

Wedding Inspiration

Truth be told, I have some big decisions to make. I have a wedding to plan. Originally I wanted to keep it really small. Well, sort of. I wanted to do a big church wedding so everyone could come for that part and then do a standing reception with coffee and treats for everyone, after all it is #allaboutthetreats. We would then have photos and then a small intimate dinner for only family.

Then there is the question about the dress. Should it be a traditional wedding dress or just a fancy gown? I am leaning towards a fancy gown but I could be swayed. If you have any great suggestions, feel free to comment below with a photo of course!

Here are some photos of our lunch. The girls took me to this adorable little place along the canal in DeLier which is about a fifteen minute drive from Gerard’s place.

something borrowed

I felt like “Driving Miss Daisy” in Anita’s sporty convertible.

Thanks!

Hand Delivered for All Occasions

Hello stampers. It is the season for lots of different celebrations including weddings, graduations and of course, birthdays and babies. Hand Delivered is great for all occasions! It is a two-step stamp that is so cute and versatile. I am going to use it for my coffee and a card class on Tuesday since I need a card that can do the job for various occasions. Not everyone needs a graduation card, so let’s see what I did with just one card and three different sentiments.

Hand Delivered is great for a bright and fun graduation card. You could also use the stack of books in this set but I wanted cheerful balloons. This host set is only available until May 31.

I could have used the stamp that has the stack of books with an apple on top but I really love these cheerful balloons. Maybe I’ll do the stack of books in my video. The balloons are just beautiful coloured with Blends. See below for the colours I used.

Hand Delivered is a host set that is only available until May 31 and it great for all occasions.

I liked grounding this card with a one inch strip of Wood Textures paper and then adding a pop of colour with the Metallic Ribbon in Petal Pink.

This Hand Delivered card really is for all occasions that require congratulations. Colour those balloons with our beautiful Blends and they will almost pop off the page!

The first time I used this stamp I thought the buttons were supposed to go on the skirt. That looked terrible because the balloon strings also ended up on the skirt and the hands were all bunched up in her waist. So be careful to put the buttons above the skirt. Does this sound crazy to you? Well, this is a two step stamp. The skirt and the legs is one stamp and the balloons with the hands and the blouse is another stamp. Here is a picture of the stamp set so you can see what I am talking about.

Hand Delivered is perfect for all Occasions

One last tip. If you want to pop up one of the balloons, our 1 1/4″ circle punch is perfect for the job. Sadly this punch is retiring and sold out. Our circle framelits will also do the job.

Hand Delivered is great for all occasions including graduation or teacher thank yous

Thanks so much for stopping by, I will share a video to show you how this set works and also a few tips and tricks on colouring with Blends. If you order online this month using the host code  TXE4JNCY you will get a chance to win this stamp set!

I realize that my video got cut short because my phone ran out of space but I am on “Oma” duty right now, so I will redo the video when Leo is in bed this afternoon. Thanks for your patience!!
