Hello stampers. I am super excited to announce this Stamping Extravaganza in Chatham on March 29. Five demonstrators are offering classes at three different time slots during the day and you can choose which one to attend. There will be lots of inspiration for you as well as we are planning to set up display tables with our projects using current products. So…plan to take your camera so you can take photos of your favourites.
Stamping Extravaganza Classes
These classes are by Caroline VanRoestel-Seward. At 2pm she is teaching an Irresistable Blooms class. At 7pm you can do the Nature’s Prints class with Caroline.
Claudette Meriano is teaching this fun stamping technique class with Artistically Inked. The top two photos are for inspiration and bottom left is the photo of the cards that you will be making with Claudette at 7pm.
Below you will find my cards. At 10am will be the Garden Birdhouses class. At 2pm a Sympathy Class and at 7pm it’s Legendary Ride. All classes are $40 and include some great products as well as the cards.
Kylee MacCutcheon is teaching a class featuring the Easter Bunny stamp set. The cards featured are just for inspiration. She is still working on her samples so I will share them later!
Yvonne Macfadyen will be teaching cards using the Two Tone Flora stamp set. You can see her samples below. Classes will be at 2pm and 7pm.
How to Pay and Register
This is the part that I am not yet so good at. The best way for a demonstrator to accept payment for classes is via etransfer because no fees are deducted the way they are for PayPal. If you are interested in one of these classes please message me at [email protected], this is also where you can etransfer me if you want to sign up for one of my classes.
This event is taking place on Wednesday March 29 at Grace Christian Reformed Church at 255 Tweedsmuir Ave West. Classes are at 10am, 2pm and 7pm. All you need to do is bring your own adhesive kit and scissors. I really hope that you can join us. Please share this blog post with your friends because we want to make this an epic event! COVID has really sucked the life out of social events and it is high time to reclaim the stamping fun and fellowship that we have missed.
Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Today I have some fabulous Garden Birdhouse cards with Blends. Blends always make me happy because they just colour beautifully. Trust me, even people who dislike colouring fall in love with our Blends. The colour just goes on so smoothly with such rich depths and they really do blend so beautifully. I’ve combined the Garden Birdhouses stamp with the free saleabration set Beautifully Happy. Someone in the stamping world combined those two stamps and I was very impressed with the result.
A Little Tip for the Crumb Cake Garden Birdhouses Cards
If you look carefully at the Crumb Cake cards, you will see some white on the garden birdhouses. I used our Chalk Marker on them and afterwards I was super disappointed to find that they are no longer in our offering. Thankfully you can get this look another way. Simply use your Blender Pen with some white craft ink. I keep one Blender Pen just for use with white craft ink. The white on Crumb Cake is such a soft look for a gender neutral baby card.
Happy Friday stampers. Elephant Parade is such an adorable bundle and perfect for baby cards too. I had so much fun stamping and the elephants and the mouse on shimmery white cardstock and then watercolouring them. Once you have a little stash made, you can use them to quickly create some adorable cards. I made one in English and one in Dutch.
Elephant Parade Baby Cards
I found that the little elephants looked super cute with the Happy Forest Friends paper. What do you think? Make it a little less busy by using the Deckled Rectangle dies so that you only have a border left of the cute print.
Here you can see a closeup of the adorable little mouse. I watercoloured him with Smoky Slate and Blushing Bride. The Leaf is done in Pear Pizzazz.

Day at the Farm Cards
My Favourite Day at the Farm Project
Are you a parent or grandparent? Want to make a true labour of love? I saw a project made by an Australian demonstrator Catherine Proctor and I absolutely adore it. She made a counting book for kids and has video tutorials for it right on her blog. You can see it here. Happy stamping and let me know if you end up making it!
Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Today I have some striking masculine cards for you using two free stamp sets. How much fun is that? Many of you say that you struggle with making masculine cards, so these will be right up your alley!!
Two Great Free Stamp Sets for some Striking Masculine Cards
The two sets that I am talking about are In The Country and Sending Support. Each of them is free with a $60 purchase until February 28, 2023. While I have left these cards tone on tone, they also look wonderful when you colour them with watercolour pencils, Blends or water painters and ink. Let’s take a look.
For this card I used the Dutch stamp set Echt Iets Bijzonders. If you live in Europe you can click on this link to buy it.
Why Not Add a Tent?
I loved adding the cyclist and the runner from Greatest Journey, so why not add a tent and the lady with the lantern? What do you think?
A Few Tips and Tricks
I really love that the sayings from the Sending Support fit well with our Stitched Rectangle dies. For the layering, I used the fabulous Deckled Rectangle Dies. My colour palette was Basic Black and Very Vanilla which has both a vintage feel to it as well as a richness. Timeworn Type embossing folder adds to that very nicely!
These cards would also lend themselves very well to sympathy or thinking of you cards. You can use them with or without the die cuts from Greatest Journey.
If you want to take the vintage look to the next level, be sure to use our Blending Brushes to add some Soft Suede ink to all your layers. Looks great and is very easy to do!
Use your Stamparatus so that you black images are nice and dark black. This great tool lets you stamp multiple times in exactly the same place. I use mine every day!
Video Tutorial
Here’s the video tutorial on how to make these cards. Thanks so much for joining me today and happy stamping!
