Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. I made these Valentine’s cards for my Global Monthly video hop. My lovely friend Berdien Weideveld shared this card for the Artisan Team and I loved it so much that I just had to recreate it. Berdien has a great Instagram profile that you can find here, and then you can follow here there!
Country Floral Lane Valentine’s Card
Red is one of my favourite colours and one of my next favourite things is gingham. Add in a little texture, some green leaves and some scallops and I’m sold!!
I stamped my sentiments in Versamark on Mossy Meadow and embossed in white. It can be so time consuming to find out where the sentiments came from on a card! Usually I have the complete list of products under my blog but I forgot to include this one. It’s the new Happy Labels 160685 in case you wanted to know. It also comes in a bundle with an amazing punch which you can find here. The white floral die cut behind the hearts is from Penned Flowers dies. My background is embossed with the Quatrefoil embossing folder.
Great Time Saving Product
Do you know what one of my favourite time saving products is? The assorted Memories & More cards and envelopes. The large ones measure 6 1/4″ by 4 1/4″ and the small ones are 3 1/4″ by 4 1/4″. I use them almost every day. The Valentine’s cards today use the large ones.

Have you heard the latest news??
Stampin’Up! has just released its second set of free saleabration products. The one that I am most excited about is the Eden’t Garden bundle which you can get for FREE with a $120 purchase in Canada. This is the first time that a freebie has been available that has such a high value.
Happy shopping my friends! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day.
Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Today I am sharing a scrappy strip techqnique. I’m quite sure that this technique was pioneered by Bruno Bertucci from Australia. His card totally captured my heart so I cased it. Bruno’s card is also the one that made me fall in love even more with the Desert Details stamp set. My Tuesday Stories and Stamps YouTube video featured this card and I will share it in this blog post as well.
Scrappy Trip Technique Card with Desert Details
Taking the Party Inside
I especially love the look of the inside of the card. You use the same technique as for the outside of the card except you have the strips going the long way down the cardstock base. See the photo below. After you have covered your cardstock piece, turn it 90 degrees and cut into half inch strips. Just beautiful!!
The sentiment was stamped in Versamark on a strip of Crumb Cake cardstock and embossed in white. The big flower was stamped in Cajun Craze and it looks great either stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock or Very Vanilla.

Thanks!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope that you try this technique for yourself. Today is February 1 so that means one more month of saleabration. Is this Desert Details stamp now on your wish list?
Have a super day. Links to shop with me are below.

The purpose is to spread cheer and my viewers can nominate someone to receive this card. Together we CAN change the world one card at a time.
Changing Things for the Better
Recently I have decided to make my Cheer Corner a little more interactive. I share the supplies and measurements ahead of time so that you can make the card with me or do it later. Here is the photo that I shared on my Facebook page.
Facebook Cheer Corner Video Tutorial
Here is the video that I did for my Facebook Live on Monday.
When I first saw the Desert Details stamp set I was quite honestly underwhelmed. I thought to myself, now that is one set that I don’t need to buy. Well! Then I went on my team retreat and my friend Pat had made a card with this set. I was so impressed with the long narrow graphic stamps that I just had to have it. Now that I have inked it up, it has not disappointed!!
Not only are those geometric stamps very impressive, the flowers are also stunning. They are distINKtive stamps which mean they naturally stamp in different shades of the same colour. Let’s take a look at two cards that I have made with this set.
Two Fun Cards
My first card was inspired by Sara Douglass and Shelli Gardner at OnStage in Vienna. With some simple masking you get an amazing geometric design on your card front. Want to know how I did it? Just watch the video tutorial below.
Cajun Craze and Soft Succulent look great together don’t they? That linen thread and those enamel dots essentials finish it off perfectly. The enamel dots come in night of navy, crumb cake and white. Here is a closeup.
The second card will be shared next week when my video tutorial is also available.
Video Tutorial
There is actually a part two to this video. In the first part you see me showing all the stamps and dies and also how to do the masking technique. In the second video you see me making the actual card.
