Sneak Peek Video

A Couple of Quick Pictures

Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Cheer Corner. That is the name of a weekly video I am doing on my personal Facebook page. My goal is to reach non-stampers and to show them that you really CAN change the world one card at a time. I have done Cheer Corner off and on for a couple of years. What I used to do is post a card and then ask people to nominate who I should send it to. Now I am taking it a step further.
Cheer Corner
Never underestimate the power of a hand made, handwritten card. People are touched when they get happy mail and even more so when the card was made from scratch. It is such an easy way to make a difference in someone’s life. Here is the video that I made this morning.
Anyone Can Do It
The other purpose of my newly revised #cheercorner is to show people how easy it is to make a card. With a few key tools you are all set. You don’t have to have everything but the kitchen sink. Ink, paper, stamps and a paper trimmer will get you a long ways. True, the other stuff is nice to have but it is not essential.
Speaking of the Basics
Speaking of the basics, tomorrow is an incredible day. It is the start of a really fantastic sale. This one makes sense and it is a reason to celebrate. Stock up on your cardstock, ink pads and dies. Ok, the dies aren’t essential but at 20% it’s a great deal.

Lousy Picture, Great Cards
Here is a photo of my #cheercorner cards. I shouldn’t have put them on the buffalo plaid table runner, it is too distracting. Now it is dark so I cannot take a better picture. I just noticed that there is even a shadow in the picture, but if you want to get a better look, check out the video.

Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. My team means everything to me!
It is already super late but I just wanted to say THANK YOU!! Last night was the “Stampin’Up! Oscars” where top performers in the industry get recognized. I received several awards but the one that touches my heart the most was ranking #3 in Canada out of more than 5700 demonstrators for Team Building. This means that I am training my team properly so that they will stay with Stampin’Up! and keep their own discount.
Many of my team members were first my customers, but the best deal out there is the one where you get your own discount. Therefore it is a natural progression to move from customer to team member. I like to compare it to moving from being an acquaintance to being a friend. If my friends want more than a discount and want to build a thriving business, then I become their champion and mentor to make that happen. Their dreams are my dreams!
It has become my mission to make no difference on my team between those who are there for their own discount and those who are there to build a business. They are all valuable to me, to each other and to the stamping community. EVERYONE brings something to the table and that is beautiful. Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Lady in Red. Do you know that song by Chris DeBurgh? It was iconic in the 80s and it really resonates with me as red is my favourite colour and I love to wear it. I have had more than one red dress in my lifetime! Today’s cards are all red so I thought I would give this blog post a catchy title. Let’s take a look.
Red Peaceful Deer Cards
The cards that I am about to share are all made with the materials from my latest Parcel in the Post. These parcels include patterned paper, cardstock, ribbon and glimmer paper as well as iridescent snowflakes. Each Tuesday in December at 10am EST on YouTube and Facebook I will be sharing these projects so you can be inspired to use YOUR Parcel in the Post. This card was inspired by Cathy Proctor. She used metric measurements so I had to figure out how to do it with imperial measurements. Originally I made the plaid piece behind the deer too large, but now it is just right!
This card was inspired by Libby Fens. The sentiment is from Snowflake Wishes, the paper is from my Parcels in the Post kit.
This card was inspired by Lori Pinto. I just added the Be Dazzling glimmer paper to it. Gorgeous isn’t it? Who knew that sahara sand could be such a wonderful colour?
The Card that Started it All
This card is the one that inspired me to build a kit around the Peaceful Prints paper. I originally made it for a tutorial team that I am a part of and now it is going to be featured in my Parcels in the Post video tutorials in December. Get your kit now so that you can play along!
