Hello stampers! Have you fallen in love with the Take to the Sky suite?? It was one of the first suites that I purchased. I love the vintage feel of this whole suite, the colours, the vibe and the fact that it is perfect for masculine cards. OnStage in Houston was where it was first introduced and all of the projects displayed made me go “wow”!! Today I will share with you some of the cards that I made and I will also tell you about a brand new adventure that I have started!
My Take to the Sky Cards
Many of these cards were inspired by my friend Melissa Alvarez who presented on this suite at OnStage in Houston.
The Adventure
It has been on my heart for a while to collaborate with a fellow demonstrator so that we can combine our talents to better serve stampers. My goal was to figure this out while on the incentive trip to Mexico. Less than 1% of demonstrators achieve this goal, so it is super special to be there. One of the best things about these trips is to be with other demonstrators who are often on the same wavelength regarding the business side of Stampin’Up!
Unbeknownst to me, there was another demonstrator also in Mexico who was having the same thoughts and she approached me!!! What a blessing. We decided to chat more to see if our vision for this collaboration alligned, and it did! Yay!!!!
As many of you may already know, I have collaborated with the amazing Natalie Travis from My Stamp on Life to create Stampin’ Haven. This is a private group but all demonstrators and stampers are welcome to join, so check it out and request to join. On the first Tuesday of every month we do a free Zoom gathering at 11 am EST and then on the fifteenth of every month we launch a tutorial bundle.
Tutorial Bundle
Our first Stampin’ Haven tutorial bundle is ready for purchase!! It is $15 on the 15th of every month. This month we are featuring Take to the Sky suite. There is a fancy fold card, a technique card and two other cards. The bundle includes a written pdf tutorial as well as video tutorials.
Both Natalie and I love to support our teams and our customers. That means that the tutorial bundle is free to team members as well as to customers who place a $50 order. If you are a demonstrator and just want to purchase the tutorial, that is also possible.
To purchase the tutorial you can either etransfer to [email protected] or if you want to use PayPal you can use this link. Be sure to also email me so that I can send you your tutorial bundle. Thanks SO much for your support. Have a SUper day!!
Let’s wander. Doesn’t that sound just wonderful?! How often do we take the time to wander?? That is one of the reasons that this stamp set appealed to me so much. Let’s wander where the wifi is weak is one of the sayings. Where the wifi is weak is usually also where it is beautiful and peaceful!! Would you like to see the card that I made with this set?
My Let’s Wander Card
To make this card, I used a fun technique called emboss resist. What that entails is first embossing your image and then adding colour either with blending brushes, daubers or sponges. In this case I used a water painter and diluted ink refills. My colours of choice were Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock. The die for the sentiment is from Stylish Shapes dies. I spattered a little crumb cake ink with my water painter and the lost lagoon ink that is on there was there from the creative process!!

Hello stampers! Just the other day I finally took the time to reorganize my stamp sets and dies. I was gone to Mexico when the last mini catalog ended and the new annual catalog began. Something old and something new is what resulted in the following cards. I just love the happy surprise of finding some great stamps and dies in my collection that I had forgotten about. Often this happens when the dies are quite independent of the stamps which is the case with both the Sentimental Park dies and the Something Fancy dies. Do you want to see what I made??
Something Old, Something New
The new thing that I wanted to use, I mean REALLY wanted to use, was the Full of Life paper. I just love the colours and the patterns and they make me feel artistic. The other new thing was the Flowering Zinnias paper, also because of the vibrant colours and because I thought the paper would go well with the “old” dies that I had rediscovered.
I only have the one photo of the three cards and now it is dusk so not a great time to take photos. The “friend” card uses the Something Fancy dies and the “thinking of you” card on the right uses the Sentimental Park dies. Both of these cards use the Full of Life paper. The card on the far left uses the Flowering Zinnias paper and the Nested Essentials dies.

Seeing is believing, and perhaps you also want to take part in the Cheer Corner sketch challenge. Take a look!!

Here is the link to join my European team. Remember, if you are reading this post after today, the starter kit is ALWAYS the best deal in the catalog!! There is a warm and welcome place waiting for YOU on my team. Have a great weekend!! Thanks for reading to the end.
Hello stampers! It has been SO long since I have written a blog post. This is the longest break that I have ever taken. Life happens sometimes, and something had to give. It’s great to be back though, and I have an amazing suite to share with you. It’s called Mediterranean Blooms. I love everything about this suite and perhaps when you get to the end of this post, you will also be in love with it!!
The Paper
Pretty paper makes me happy. Just looking at it can make me smile. It also makes it super easy to make a beautiful card. Here is a close up of the paper.
The Dies
The dies cut out the stamped images but also two of the orange branches on the paper. There is a white edge around the die cuts so you can definitely choose to fussy cut as well like I did in the photo above.
Not only are there dies that coordinate with the stamps, there are also some great greenery dies and a lovely greenery frame and coordinating stitched frame. Just gorgeous!! Take a look.
The Stamps
The stamps in this Mediterranean Blooms suite are called Citrus Blooms which is entirely appropriate with the images of oranges or clementines. The font of the sayings is also quite lovely. They include “hello”, “all the love”, “just checking in” and “you’re the best kind of person”. There are two little flowers and a geometric print which would lend themselves very well to background stamping.
My Cards
Thus far I have only had time to make two cards with this lovely suite but I am looking forward to making many more!! Scroll down a little further and then you will see my Stamping Through My Stash video featuring this suite.

Happy Monday stampers. Give it a Whirl dies are another hidden gem from the annual catalog. Not only do they make it super easy to make many styles of an interactive card with a “spin the wheel” feature, they also have lots of adorable stitched dies to use on all your cards!! Let me tell you a secret. I originally bought these dies just for these additional dies. I particularly wanted the stitched clouds!!
Give it a Whirl Dies “Spin the Wheel” card
I got the idea for this card from my British up-upline Michelle Last. What a great idea to use the Let’s Chat stamp set for this type of card.
The “extra” dies
Let’s take a look at the “extra” dies in the Give it a Whirl dies set. My favourites are the stitched hearts and the stitched clouds, but you can also use the “mechanism” opening dies as peekaboo windows.
Getting the kitty-cat just right was a little tricky, so take a look at the back of the card to see how I did it.
Those adorable stitched hearts in action
Here you can see the romantic tags that I made using the stitched hearts from the Give it a Whirl dies set. I am so happy with how it turned out!! This pretty paper is from the Delightfully Eclectic paper on page 129 of the annual catalog. It’s also free with a saleabration purchase for three more days!!! You have until February 29, 2024 to scoop up that deal!
Which will you choose??
Thanks!
Thanks for joining me on my blog today. I hope you also take the opportunity to check out my pdf tutorial section. They are for sale of course, but they are also available for FREE when you order from me online.
