À la Carte Christmas Class

Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. I am thrilled to present to you an online and in person class called À la Carte Christmas Class. This class will take place online on Thursday October 28 at 7pm EST and in person on Saturday October 30 at 10am. You will make ten gorgeous cards regardless of which option you choose. You will receive a class kit that will include more items than you will need to complete your cards so that will be a LOT of fun. Let me explain how it works.

À la Carte Christmas Options

I called this class À la Carte Christmas Class because you have three options to choose from as to which format you choose and then at the class you can also choose which cards you want to make with your kit. Lots of options for you to personalize your experience. You can even choose to join in on the online event on Thursday and then come in person on Saturday as well.

All options include ten cards, a kraft gift box and a package of Gingerbread & Peppermint acrylic shapes. The base price for this is $35 plus $5 shipping anywhere in Canada.

The regular class also includes a stamp set of your choice. You can choose between For Unto Us OR Holly Jolly Wishes. For this option you will also receive 6 iridescent snowflakes. The price for the regular option is $55 plus $5 shipping if you need it shipped.

Lastly there is the deluxe option at $120. You get all the things that are offered in option one and two PLUS the Frosted Peppermint bundle as well as a 6″ by 12″ piece of white velvet and red velvet paper.

Included in your class is a half a package of the Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More collection which means ten large cards and envelopes, two sticker sheets, three “baking racks”, 18 3″ by 4″ cards and 9 4″ by 6″ cards.

Bonus Card

I have created a bonus card that you can also choose to copy. You will need the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle as well as the What’s Cookin’ bundle to be able to make this card. I will include the patterned paper and the card base in your kit if you get the deluxe option. I was inspired by Katie Little who shared her card online in a Facebook group for fellow demonstrators.

More Choices??

If you don’t want to wait until October to make these cards or to play with these stamp sets, you can order them now yourself using the current host code. If you choose to do that and order the Gingerbread & Peppermint bundle as well as one of the stamp sets For Unto Us or Holly Jolly Wishes, then I will send you the card class kit for FREE as soon as possible. I understand the need for instant gratification. If you  choose this option then you will also get free saleabration items with your purchase. Don’t you worry, I’ve got your back!!

Put it All in a Starter Kit

Of course you know by now that your very best bet is to take your wish list and put it in your starter kit. Then you pay no shipping or tax AND you get to choose a bonus Christmas bundle. Sweet!! If you choose to do that, just click on this link to get started.

I Almost Forgot!!

When I was getting ready to order the supplies for this class I realized that you may as well also get some patterned paper with your card kit so that you can finish the insides of your cards beautifully too! You will get 8 sheets of the Gingerbread & Peppermint designer series paper.

Saleabration Starts Today!!

Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Finally a blog post from me. I had to stay away from my desk for a while because sitting and typing was the worst thing for my back. Thankfully I am feeling much better and ready to get back in the groove. Just in time, because our first summer saleabration is here!!

Saleabration in the Summer!!

Who would have thought that we would have a saleabration sale in the summer? Rather than having a three month long saleabration in the winter, Stampin’Up! decided to change it up to two two month saleabration events and I am curious as to how you will like it. There are lots of great items for you to be able to get for free but I would encourage you to order as soon as possible as there are predictions that some saleabration items will run out quickly, especially the Counting Sheep set and the Be Dazzling specialty paper. I did a virtual tour of both catalogs yesterday, you can see it here.

My First Saleabration Card

This is the first card that I made using saleabration products and it is also going to be the card that I make for our Fab Four event in September. You can sign up for that if you like. The cost is $25 and  four demonstrators will teach a card. The videos will be posted in a private Facebook group and we will send you your card kit. You can then make your cards at your own pace and then join us for a Zoom gathering where we will do the door prizes and show some other things we have made with the products we used for our card so that you have some more inspiration. Here is the link to the event.

Be Dazzled

The Be Dazzling paper is so sparkly it reminds me of a dress that the stars would wear to the Oscars! Here is a closeup. Just know that the card is so much better in person. One of my customers dropped by this morning to pick up a card kit and she saw the card and said, wow, it looks way better than in the picture I saw online yesterday.

Looking for Inspiration?

Would you like to know a great trick to finding inspiration for your stamp sets or ones that you are thinking of getting? For example, let’s say you are not sure if the Counting Sheep set would be a good saleabration choice. Then go to Google and do a search. Type in “Counting Sheep Stampin’Up!” and then click on images and you will see all the projects made with this set. Brilliant!!

BOGO Sale

I have jumped on the bandwagon and have created my first ever “buy one get one free” sale. This is how it works. You request permission to join the group. Then you read the “about” section to understand the system. After that you click on “media” and you will see albums. Each album has a price. That is the value of all the items in this album. For example there is an album for stamp and die bundles for $50. In order to get one of these bundles for free you need to spend $50 in my online store before shipping and taxes.

Now is a great time to take advantage of the BOGO sale. You will get a free saleabration item with a $60 purchase, you will get a FREE pdf tutorial and you get $60 in free product from my BOGO sale. Here is the link so you can check it out.

Free Tutorial With Purchase

Did you know that you can choose which pdf tutorial you get for free with your purchase? It can be the Artistically Inked Tutorial from the Create with Us International Tutorial group or it can be the Saleabration tutorial from the Demo Design Dream Team. Either are free with a $60 purchase.

Thanks for joining me today. I am hoping that blogging once a week is okay for now. Perhaps when I am back in Holland I will have time to blog three times a week again. Just know that I appreciate you being here. Have a super day and I would be honoured if you live in Canada and choose to shop with me. The links to my store are listed below.

Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes

Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Today I want to share a hidden treasure from the annual catalog:  mini paper pumpkin boxes. Did you know that these cute boxes are super easy to decorate, they are food safe AND they fit our note cards and envelopes? I just discovered them when I created my #itsallaboutthetreats event. Let’s take a look.

Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes

As card makers we don’t always realize what a wonderful gift a package of hand made cards can be. With the mini paper pumpkin boxes, you have an easy solution for packaging your notecards and envelopes. Here is a picture of two boxes that I made along with the coordinating notecards and envelopes. This time the theme is Christmas, but you can make it whatever you want! They are $10.25 for a package of ten sturdy, food safe boxes.

Mini Paper Pumpkin boxes

Today was quite the grey, overcast day so the natural lighting was less than ideal. Truth be told both the cards and the boxes are MUCH nicer in person, but you are going to have to take my word for it. I now have a pdf tutorial for these projects and more as well as three favourite Christmas recipes if you are interested. I have a Zoom gathering planned for this Friday morning from 10am till noon EST to make the coffee carrier and two other boxes plus to bake traditional Nanaimo bars. If you purchase the tutorial you can join in on the Zoom gathering for free.

Quarantine Report

I thought I would update you on my quarantine experience. It has been a little bit intense for two reasons. The first reason is the COVID situation in Europe. Both the Netherlands and Germany are going into strict lockdown today and that affected the amaryllis prices drastically on Monday. It was like the stock market crash of 1929 for the flower industry and in one day Gerard saw all his hard work and profits for the year go down the drain. Being apart when things like that happen is tough.

The second thing is my Pap’s health. Two of my siblings were begging me to break quarantine so that I could go and see him. They were afraid that I might miss seeing him alive. I had to make the difficult decision to sit tight and wait until it looked like I had no option. Please pray that he will hold on till my quarantine is over. It does help to know that I am only two and half hours away instead of an ocean apart.

Keep Stamping!

I miss my regular stampers and hope that you are still stamping on your own. Please join me in my weekly live YouTube videos with the virtual coffee and a card. I hope to send out the kits for January on Friday so let me know if you want to join in. My newsletter was sent today with information for Pod Parties and for an actual Open House and new catalog launch on January 4. I have designed a COVID friendly way for you to see the new products and to sign up for virtual classes or buy in stock kits. That’s it for now, have a super day!

PS. I forgot to mention that I used the stamp set Press On for the cute coffee cups and that if you live in Canada I would love it if you shopped with me by clicking on the items in the product list below….

A Merry Hello Host Stamp Set

Hello stampers and happy Monday to you! Today I am going to show you a clean and simple card using the host set A Merry Hello. This card is just stamps, ink and paper. No embelllishments, no patterned paper, no ribbon. I really like how it turned out!

What is a Host Set?

A host stamp set is one that cannot be purchased on a regular order. It can only be purchased if you either place a $200 order or if you host a workshop where you and your friends make some free cards and then place orders together that total $200 or more. You then as a host receive 10% back in host dollars. With those host rewards you can use them for exclusive host sets like this one. The purpose of host sets is to entice you to host a workshop so you can get these cute sets. For December I am going to do a draw for this stamp set for those of you who place an online order. If you would like to see a host set from the annual catalog, check out this blog post.

A Merry Hello Host Set

Enough talking, here is the card and the tags that I made using this cute host set. This set is tucked away on page 81 of the holiday catalog.

A Merry Hello host stamp set

I don’t have much ribbon at all here in Holland, but I was happy to see that the Playful Pets ribbon worked really well with my Christmas colours of real red and old olive. Here is the inside of my card.

A Merry Hello inside

Easy Layering

A Merry Hello is a 20 piece photopolymer stamp set which means you can see through the stamps which makes it easy to layer them for some great detail. For example this stocking is actually a black outline image. The red top was added as a separate stamp. The heel and toe is a separate stamp and so is the little tree. This allows you to create fun coloured accents with no fuss. I also love the font of the saying. Those little things make me so happy it’s almost ridiculous. When that happens you know you are a stamping addict!

A Merry Hello tags

These cute tags were made using the North Pole Wonder dies which just happen to be 30% off today until January 4, 2021 or while supplies last. What struck me is the first tag. The holly leaves look like die cuts but it is actually a stamp. The red holly berries are also from a die from the North Pole Wonder set. I have used these dies for my weekly YouTube live videos for my virtual coffee and a card class and I really love them and have heard nothing but great things about them from my participants.

Big Sale Today!

Today is the beginning of our best sale of the year (in my opinion!) You can get 20-50% off a lot of beautiful things in the holiday catalog. I just sent out my newsletter with my favourite deals as well as the suggestion to get the starter kit as your best deal ever! The newsletter is also shared on my business Facebook page The Pampered Stamper.

Giant Year End Close-Out sale

If you place an online order, be sure to use the current host code so that you can have a share in the free host rewards today. The more people that order online today, the more goodies there will be to share. Stay tuned!!

Thanks!

Thanks so much for joining me again today, I appreciate it when you read my blog. This blog is a way for us to connect and also to serve you better as a demonstrator. If what I write resonates with you and you live in Canada, I would love to be YOUR demonstrator. I hope you have a super day!

Dove of Hope W-Funfold Card

Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Today I am going to share a Dove of Hope W-Funfold card. I made this card yesterday for my Prime Time With The Pampered Stamper group. Last week I got a great card with this fold from Lou Davis and I knew that I wanted to make one myself. The only idea I had in my head was to use the Dove of Hope bundle and that I wanted to keep the card about textures, not colours. The key to the look I was hoping for was the Plush Poinsettia specialty paper. I am super happy with how it turned out so I am going to share  some photos with you.

It’s All About the Textures

The dove of hope bundle has some great dies that also include embossed and cut out images that can be layered. When I think of doves I also think of hope and peace and this translates to white, possibly some bling and definitely texture. The panels on the inside of the w-fancyfold card are the perfect place to showcase all the beautiful images in this set. My colour palate was white and balmy blue with a hint of pool party. Let’s take a look.

For the front of the card I created a layered dove with our balmy blue glimmer paper and whisper white cardstock. Be sure to use a liquid adhesive to glue these layers together as glimmer paper doesn’t like our other adhesives. The background is our stunning Plush Poinsettia specialty paper. It can be best described as a velvet design on vellum which looks and feels great. The curvy white panel was popped up and die cut with the Curvy dies. Peace on Earth was embossed in silver.

The Inside of the W-Funfold Card

To make the “W” part all you need is a strip of thick white cardstock 1 3/4″ by 11″ scored at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″ and 8 1/4″. Add four panels and you are all set. I chose to keep the colours muted and to focus on the beautiful plush poinsettia paper and the blue glimmer paper. The doves are both embossed in silver and popped up.

Prime Time With The Pampered Stamper

I made this card yesterday in this private Facebook group. Each week I do a video tutorial there for a small monthly fee. It is only ten dollars a month which is way cheaper than a card class. Why would I do this? It might seem snooty and unfair to not just share with everyone. I understand. The fact is that sales are down considerably due to the lack of in person classes so this is a way for me to make some money and stay in business. It’s all fine and well to like people’s cards and creations but in the end for many of us it is a business, and if we don’t earn money then we have to go and find another job. I know of several SU demos who have had to do that. I don’t want to be one of them, so I thought I would explain my modus operandi here.

If you would also like to join this great group, you can, just click here. For this group I create one card ahead of time and then I make another card for the live video. I usually try to tweak it a little bit so that everyone has two options for the same card. Each week there is also a prize drawing and there is a monthly pdf tutorial as well. Here is my second card.

Less Than A Week Left

I have less than a week left here in Holland. How time flies when you are with the person you love! This time was completely different with very little “going” out except for necessary things like groceries and the occasional family visit. You may have noticed that there were significantly less pictures. COVID19 is also a big deal here except they call it Corona here. All around the world we are hoping for this to be the last hurrah of this nasty virus. I wil have one more YouTube live video here on Tuesday and then it will be back in Chatham. The neat thing is that with technology it doesn’t feel any different from your end!! For me the biggest challenge with keeping in touch is the time difference of six hours.

Thanks for joining me! I hope you have a super day and a fine weekend too. If you live in Canada and would like to shop with me online, I would of course love that! I will send you a free sixteen project pdf tutorial as a thankyou.
