Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. I have finally finished all my Parcels in the Post creations and am inspired to also create a pdf tutorial for it. My last creation is a True Love Double Point card with a masculine feel to it. I think you can guess where this card is going!
True Love Double Point Card
The palette for this card is basic black and sahara sand with a touch of white. Since it is going to a man I thought I would skip the blushing bride ribbon and use the Fine Art gold ribbon instead.
Here you can see a close up of the heart detail and then I will share what the inside looks like. If you want to see how to make a double point card, you can see a video tutorial here.
If you want to see my first ever double point card, you can check out this blog post from two years ago.
Parcels in the Post
I created Parcels in the Post to save you money AND jump start your creativity. When you have a lovely package of assorted and coordinating products plus a video tutorial to get you going, life is pretty good. I know that I really hate feeling stupid and when you are stuck staring at a bunch of products with no idea of what to do with them, you can feel stupid. I know I do!! Let me know if you want a Parcel in the Post!
A Few of My Creations
Here is a picture of the cards that I created with my Parcels in the Post. All of the supplies are from the kit I created except for the gold ribbon on the one card.
Here is the video tutorial that I did live on YouTube on Saturday morning. I really hope you take the time to have a peek and also be sure to subscribe to my channel so you will see all my fun videos.
Thanks so much for joining me today, it was a bit of a read!! Don’t forget to take advantage of the saleabration deals and the best deal of all, the starter kit! If this intrigues you and you would love a discount on your own purchases, message me and I would LOVE to help you out. The current host code is always on the right hand side of my blog when you click the “home” button at the top.
Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. I have a fantastic Double Point Card for you which I think is perfect for the What’s New at SU blog hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrator from around the world who are Hoppin’ With Exciting Ideas to share with you. I am so happy you are joining us for this hop.
Today I am going to share a Pleased as Punch Double Point Card. When looking at my blog statistics I can see that many of you look up my double point card, so I thought it was time to do one using saleabration items. It’s hard to believe that saleabration is almost over! Be sure to get your freebies while they are still available. Pleased as Punch paper is also only available until March 31 as a saleabration coordination product.
Pleased As Punch Paper
Pleased as Punch paper is so pretty and cheerful but even better than that, it coordinates with FOUR punches and four stamp sets. I love it so much and I wish it would stay longer than just till the end of March. Honestly, I highly recommend that you get this paper so you can use it for your spring and Easter cards. Just creating with this paper will make it feel like spring in your home.
As you can see, this paper coordinates with the following punches and stamp sets:
- Under My Umbrella bundle
- Heartfelt bundle
- Timeless Tulips bundle
- Thoughtful Blooms stamp set and Small Bloom punch (both free saleabration items)
Double Point Card
I used the blushing bride gingham paper as the focal point for my double point card. At first my plan was to use the Under My Umbrella stamp set and punch but it turns out that the Timeless Tulips worked best. I chose to make a sympathy card with it even though the colours are bright and cheerful. Very fitting for a celebration of life don’t you think?
Here is the inside of the card. It’s not perfect because I was in a little bit of a rush (imagine that!). I could have lined up my folds a little better but no one really loves perfection, so I think it will be just fine. If you want all the specifics on how to make this type of fold, you can see one of my most popular blog posts here and you will have all the information you need.
Stitched Nested Labels
Many of you know that I recently spent seven weeks in Holland to be with my boyfriend Gerard. While there I still stamped and blogged every day and I became acutely aware of the things that I did not have in my stamp room there. One of the things I really missed were my stitched nested labels. They should be a staple in every stamp room and especially for this double point card. My favourite thing about them is that they can be easily removed from the die and the stitching is just so pretty.
Saleabration is a wonderful time of the stamping year; everyone loves getting free products to choose from. Stampin’Up! has made saleabration even more exciting by adding saleabration coordination items that make your free items even more versatile. We have both dies and paper to coordinate with so many saleabration products that make it super fun to create. Don’t miss out on the pretty Pleased as Punch paper and be sure to check out the birthday framelits, the Ladybug dies, Nature’s Thoughts dies, Sending Flowers dies and Special Day dies. To see these beauties, just click on this link.
I made this video on my old phone and I couldn’t get it to post in landscape mode, but it is better than nothing!
Thanks for joining me today and be sure to check out the rest of the What’s New at SU bloggers participating in this fantastic blog hop. Click on the link below to check out the previous blog, I am sure that Brenda Copper has made something beautiful to inspire you.

Hello stampers. I have a fun card for you today that is simply called a Double Point Card. I am using all new supplies from the new catalog to get you all excited for what is coming. That might be a bad idea since it takes your focus off of our Occasions catalog and all the amazing things in our current annual catalog, but we always like sneak peeks don’t we? If your catalog is anything like mine, it is getting a little worn around the edges! I used the Perennial Essence suite for this card. The product that most captured my heart in this suite is definitely the Perennial Essence paper, it is simply stunning!!
Double Point Card
Here you can see what I used to make this card. The picture doesn’t show you the beautiful paper or the coordinating vellum but that will come later! It is really nice that there are two coordinating punches with this stamp set, the new perennial flower punch and our current leaf punch.
Perennial Flower Punch and Leaf Punch
I love the soft colours of this card. The muted tones of the patterned paper are well suited to combining with a vellum flower. Let’s take a look at how I made the points out of the Perennial Essence paper.
Measurements for the Points
The points are just a 3″ by 4″ piece of patterned paper, scored at 1″ along the long side. You then fold the corners down to meet just above the score line. The 1″ by 4″ piece then gets adhered under the 4″ by 5 1/4″ piece of whisper white cardstock (see the video).
These new stitched nested labels are a dream to work with. They pop out of the framelits with ease, absolutely no poking necessary. There are 9 dies in the set.
Here you can see a closeup of the stitched nested labels. Do you see how pretty the floral essence centers are? (yes, I know I am spelling that word the American way, but if people want to google for them it won’t show up if I spell it the Canadian way)
There are lots of little surprises in this card. You get to lift the stitched nested labels to see this sentiment and then you get to open the actual card to find another one!! Someone will definitely be feeling the love when they get this card from you.
The sentiment here is from the March Paper Pumpkin that featured the succulents. That kit is totally sold out. Don’t you hate it when you miss out on a fabulous Paper Pumpkin? There is a super easy way to have that not happen. Subscribe and get a monthly delight in the mail. Instant gratification! Just like ordering takeout so that you don’t have to cook and clean up. Next month’s Paper Pumpkin is a very special vintage one designed by Shelli Gardner the cofounder of Stampin’Up! Click here if you are interested.
I hope you enjoyed this fun card today. I hope to get the new catalogs in some time in May. Don’t forget to check out the clearance rack for some fabulous deals. Once again, the list of products at the end of my post will be small since most of the products are not yet available. I have to say that one of the things I really enjoy about being a demonstrator is getting my hands on brand new products before anyone else!! At the end of this post is a video showing you how I put the card together. It cuts off at the end because I ran out of space on my phone. There was no way I was going to redo the whole thing and we didn’t miss much at the end.
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day.
