Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. I have finally finished all my Parcels in the Post creations and am inspired to also create a pdf tutorial for it. My last creation is a True Love Double Point card with a masculine feel to it. I think you can guess where this card is going!
True Love Double Point Card
The palette for this card is basic black and sahara sand with a touch of white. Since it is going to a man I thought I would skip the blushing bride ribbon and use the Fine Art gold ribbon instead.

Parcels in the Post
I created Parcels in the Post to save you money AND jump start your creativity. When you have a lovely package of assorted and coordinating products plus a video tutorial to get you going, life is pretty good. I know that I really hate feeling stupid and when you are stuck staring at a bunch of products with no idea of what to do with them, you can feel stupid. I know I do!! Today I am going to share a Pleased as Punch Double Point Card. When looking at my blog statistics I can see that many of you look up my double point card, so I thought it was time to do one using saleabration items. It’s hard to believe that saleabration is almost over! Be sure to get your freebies while they are still available. Pleased as Punch paper is also only available until March 31 as a saleabration coordination product.
Pleased As Punch Paper
Pleased as Punch paper is so pretty and cheerful but even better than that, it coordinates with FOUR punches and four stamp sets. I love it so much and I wish it would stay longer than just till the end of March. Honestly, I highly recommend that you get this paper so you can use it for your spring and Easter cards. Just creating with this paper will make it feel like spring in your home.

Double Point Card
I used the blushing bride gingham paper as the focal point for my double point card. At first my plan was to use the Under My Umbrella stamp set and punch but it turns out that the Timeless Tulips worked best. I chose to make a sympathy card with it even though the colours are bright and cheerful. Very fitting for a celebration of life don’t you think?
Here is the inside of the card. It’s not perfect because I was in a little bit of a rush (imagine that!). I could have lined up my folds a little better but no one really loves perfection, so I think it will be just fine. Stitched Nested Labels
Many of you know that I recently spent seven weeks in Holland to be with my boyfriend Gerard. While there I still stamped and blogged every day and I became acutely aware of the things that I did not have in my stamp room there. One of the things I really missed were my stitched nested labels. They should be a staple in every stamp room and especially for this double point card. My favourite thing about them is that they can be easily removed from the die and the stitching is just so pretty.

Hello stampers. I have a fun card for you today that is simply called a Double Point Card. I am using all new supplies from the new catalog to get you all excited for what is coming. That might be a bad idea since it takes your focus off of our Occasions catalog and all the amazing things in our current annual catalog, but we always like sneak peeks don’t we? If your catalog is anything like mine, it is getting a little worn around the edges! I used the Perennial Essence suite for this card. The product that most captured my heart in this suite is definitely the Perennial Essence paper, it is simply stunning!!
Double Point Card
Here you can see what I used to make this card. The picture doesn’t show you the beautiful paper or the coordinating vellum but that will come later! It is really nice that there are two coordinating punches with this stamp set, the new perennial flower punch and our current leaf punch.
Perennial Flower Punch and Leaf Punch
I love the soft colours of this card. The muted tones of the patterned paper are well suited to combining with a vellum flower. Let’s take a look at how I made the points out of the Perennial Essence paper.
Measurements for the Points
The points are just a 3″ by 4″ piece of patterned paper, scored at 1″ along the long side. You then fold the corners down to meet just above the score line. The 1″ by 4″ piece then gets adhered under the 4″ by 5 1/4″ piece of whisper white cardstock (see the video).
These new stitched nested labels are a dream to work with. They pop out of the framelits with ease, absolutely no poking necessary. There are 9 dies in the set.
Floral Centres
Here you can see a closeup of the stitched nested labels. Do you see how pretty the floral essence centers are? (yes, I know I am spelling that word the American way, but if people want to google for them it won’t show up if I spell it the Canadian way)
There are lots of little surprises in this card. You get to lift the stitched nested labels to see this sentiment and then you get to open the actual card to find another one!! Someone will definitely be feeling the love when they get this card from you.

I hope you enjoyed this fun card today. I hope to get the new catalogs in some time in May. Don’t forget to check out the clearance rack for some fabulous deals. I have to say that one of the things I really enjoy about being a demonstrator is getting my hands on brand new products before anyone else!! There was no way I was going to redo the whole thing and we didn’t miss much at the end.
