Spring Sampler

Hello stampers. This Spring Sampler is a little late, but it is officially still spring! Last year I made samplers for each season and my customers were requesting more of them. They are such fun to make! While making cards is very gratifying, they get sent away. A sampler is your creative work framed for all to see. Do you want to see what I made?

This spring sampler showcases our pretty new stamp called Butterfly Wishes as well as Beautiful You and Enjoy LIfe.

I didn’t have time to take pictures of each individual rectangle but I can tell you which stamps I used and the colours. The colours are whisper white, petal pink, calypso coral and pear pizzazz. I used a new stamp set called Butterfly Wishes as well as Enjoy Life, Beautiful You and the Large Letter framelits. The letters are popped up with mini dimensionals over vellum which was layered on the Petal Promenade designer series paper. With the new catalog going live today both the letter framelits and this pretty paper is now discontinued.

Measurements

frame: 8″ by 10″

bottom panels:  calypso coral 3 5/8″ by 2 7/8″  white: 3 3/8″ by 2 5/8″

centre panel- petal promenade paper:  2 7/8″ by 7 1/2″  vellum: 2 1/2″ by 7″

top panels: 2 3/8″ by 3 1/4 (one was calypso coral, two were grapefruit grove) white or patterned paper 2 1/4″ by 3 1/8″

The panel with the lady from Beautiful You was a happy accident. I used the wavy framelet from Lilypad Lake to make an intricate design on the one end but instead it cut it right off leaving a nice wavy edge, so I just added some pretty paper from the Petal Promenade collection to add interest. It is 2 5/8″ wide and is tucked behind the white panel.

I added a scrap of ribbon to the top right panel that has the saying from Enjoy Life. Tomorrow I hope to share my Summer Sampler. We will be making this sampler on Saturday June 15 at 1pm. the cost is $25. I can make a kit that you can order  but I cannot include stamped images. Thanks for dropping by and remember the new catalog goes live today!! What is at the top of your wish list?

Petal Promenade and Wonderful Moments

Hello stampers. Those who have known me for a while know that I have made great strides in organizational skills. This is not first nature to me at all. I wish that I could come up with a great system for organizing all the sentiments that we have in our stamp sets. A search engine would be awesome. That way we could find all the “get wells”, the “happy anniversaries” etc. Every once in a while I stumble across a set that has a lot of great sayings that I could have used more often. Today we are going to use one of those sets. It is called Wonderful Moments. I initially chose that set for the beautiful lined images that are perfect for watercolouring or blends, but there are many great sayings in it too. Add to that, it pairs perfectly with Petal Promenade paper which is a free saleabration item for just a wee bit longer. Yes, saleabration ends this Sunday!!

Wonderful Moments and Petal Promenade paper, free with a $60 purchase until March 31

For these cards I combined two saleabration freebies:  Petal Promenade paper and Country Floral embossing folder. The texture and dimension of these easy cards is fantastic. I did have to fussy cut the elements on the middle two cards but it was quite easy and not too time-consuming. Let’s take a closer look.

Petal Promenade paper with polka dot tulle ribbon and Wonderful Moments stamp set

This Petal Promenade paper is just so beautiful, the flowers just pop off the page and you can almost smell them! One of the sheets in this designer paper pack has images that you can cut out. Some are square or rectangle and there are two wreath images that are a little more fussy to cut out, but totally worth it. All you need to do is pair with some matching cardstock, in this case Blackberry Bliss and a bit of ribbon. I used the muted patterned paper for the card front. In this paper pack one side is a bold floral and the other is more muted and soft.

Wonderful Moments and Petal Promenade pair with Country Floral embossing folder

I just love how the Country Floral embossing folder looks so pretty with this paper. You can combine it with either whisper white or very vanilla depending on your mood.

Petal Promenade and Special Celebrations

The lovely thing about our suites is that there are a lot of coordinating products available to take your card to a new level. It’s all in the details right? There are Petal Pink Rhinestone Gems and well as Rose Metallic thread. I kept these cards quite simple so I didn’t use the metallic thread, but I have used it on other cards and it is lovely.

Petal Promenade paper is used both for the focal point and the background of this card together with Wonderful Moments.

This last card uses the Petal Promenade paper both in the background and as the focal point. I used the stamp set Wonderful Moments for the sentiment and a little petal pink rhinestone jewel as an accent.

I hope you were inspired by my cards today and have seen how easy it is to make beautiful cards with the Petal Promenade paper that you can get for free with a $60 purchase until March 31. Saleabration is almost over!! All products used in these cards will be listed below, just click on any of them and you will be taken to my online store. Technology makes it pretty easy for you to be separated from your money!! Have a super day.

Petal Promenade Meets Wonderful Moments

Hello stampers. I just love pretty paper. Real magic happens when you combine pretty paper with a beautiful stamp set. It just makes creating so easy and so fun. When I get caught up in making these projects for my blog I really can’t imagine calling anything else my job. I so very much love what I do! The paper that I am talking about is called Petal Promenade and the stamp set is Wonderful Moments.

Now I have a confession to make. I used to case about 95% of the cards that I made. I thought it was easier than coming up with my own designs. Why reinvent the wheel I thought. I still do like to case. When I see a beautiful card out there it makes me happy to recreate it. But I have discovered when I started this blog and I wanted to only share original work, or at least primarily original work, that there is joy in playing. When you spread out your pretty paper over the table and gather ink pads and stamp sets the magic happens and creativity flows. That is why you very rarely see only one card in my blog posts. It does make it an epic project and that is why there is not a daily blog. I hope that is ok with you. Well, enough rambling, let’s see what I made with Petal Promenade paper (which is part of the paper sale by the way) and with Wonderful Moments.

Beautiful Petal Promenade paper that is part of the buy three get one free paper sale until July 31.

These cards all use the Petal Promenade designer series paper that is part of the buy three get one free paper sale until July 31. I love gardening and flowers so this paper just makes my heart sing. It really doesn’t need much to embellish it so I used Blends to colour the images from Wonderful Moments and added some pearlized doilies and metallic thread to two of them and some laser cut paper to the third card. We will make these three cards at coffee and a card class this coming Tuesday at my studio at 10am. Place an online order with me and you will get one of these in the mail!

Beautiful You also works well with Petal Promenade paper

I realize that not everyone needs a wedding card, so you can easily interchange the image with one from Beautiful You. I did use a retired colour, Sweet Sugarplum with this paper because it matched so well with the paper. The rose metallic thread is barely visible here but in real life it is stunning. Adds just the right touch.

I used Rich Razzleberry and Pink Pirouette Blends to colour the images from Beautiful You.

Here is the original card that I made using Wonderful Moments. I totally cased this one from the Demonstrator Planning Place on Facebook. Thanks so much to Debby Donovan.

Thanks to Debby Donovan whose card I cased to make this one.

Have you fallen in love with Petal Promenade paper yet? Trust me, you will!

Easel card using Wonderful Moments and Petal Promenade.

For this card I used petal pink and soft sea foam cardstock on a very vanilla base. I tucked a strip of the delicate details laser cut paper in behind the patterned paper strip. A petal pink rhinestone gem holds the easel card in place. Elegant simplicity.

Pearlized doily and silver metallic thread combine with Petal Promenade paper and Wonderful Moments stamp set.

Take note of the pearlized doily. I sponged the plain side with petal pink to match the cardstock. I did this overtop of a whisper white card front so that I could use the sponged design left behind on another card. Frugality of time and product!

Paper piecing for the dress from Wonderful Moments using Petal Promenade paper.

I really am quite pleased with the way this card turned out. I stamped the girl on Petal Promenade paper so that I could paper piece her dress. I used Blends to colour the balloons:  calypso coral, dark pink pirouette and light pink pirouette. the saying is from Beautiful You. The sponging is done with Petal Pink.

Petal Promenade and Delicate Details laser cut paper combine with Wonderful Moments for this pretty card.

One of the designs of the paper in Petal Promenade has a strip of floral design that I fussy cut for the top of this card. It wasn’t too bad and I think it looks really pretty. I used wink of stella on the dress. The bride is stamped right on the patterned paper and coloured with Blends.

There is so much more I could do with this paper, but I had to draw the line somewhere! If you would like to order online with me, that would make me very happy. Just click on any of the images below and it will take you straight to my store. Only available in Canada and only if you don’t already have a demonstrator. If you would be so kind as to use the host code that would be even better!

Don’t forget about the amazing paper sale that is going on now until the end of July. So many lovely papers included in this sale including Petal Promenade. The other great deal is getting an entire colour family of ink pads for free with the starter kit. You can even get both sets of incolour ink pads as a choice. I am so excited for this opportunity for you. Watch the video and I will clear up any misconceptions you may have.

Finally, here is a video of my cleaned up stamp room just in case you want to see my happy space. This is where all my classes are held, where I post my blog and my Facebook posts and my newsletter. I practically live in this room!! Have a super day and give some serious thought to getting those ten ink pads for free.
