Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. I have a lovely bridge fold card for you today that we will be making in my first ever online retreat. This is going to be such an epically fun event and I am so excited to have so many people joining me from across the country. There will definitely be more of these in the future. If you missed out this time, you might be interested in just buying the tutorial and having your own personal retreat!
Slimline Bridge Fold Card
Not only is this a very fun fold, it also have some great techniques involved. My favourite one is making a “reverse” snowman and the other is in getting the trees to really pop with the embossing folder. This card fits into a regular business sized envelope. If you want to see the sketch of how to make this card you can find it in this blog post.
Tutorial
I just finished writing a 21 page tutorial with clear instructions and pictures for ten cards and a home decor piece. This pdf will be free for all those who signed up for my first ever Cozy Christmas Online Retreat but it is available for sale to everyone else. If you love creating but don’t want to fiddle with measurements a pdf will be perfect for you. It is a great modest investment that will save you a lot of time and teach you great things that you can use to enhance your card making skills. Just click on the button below to get started.
Thanks!
Every time I like to thank you for reading my blog, for pinning my creations and for supporting me with your purchases. Without you I would not have a business! Happy stamping and have a super day.

Hello stampers and happy Tuesday to you. I am SO very excited to announce my first ever Cozy Christmas Online Retreat. It will be so wonderful for you to receive a box full of products that will enable you to gather with other stampers and craft together. Do you want to hear more about it?
How the Online Retreat Will Work
The date for the retreat is Friday November 13 and Saturday November 14. You need to pre-register by October 16 to give me enough time to order the supplies, prep all the projects and send them to you in good time. The cost is $160 but will include at least $120 in product plus all the supplies needed to create the projects. Definitely included in your box of goodies is the Snow Wonder bundle and the Evergreen Forest and Winter Snow embossing folders. If you already have the Snow Wonder bundle you can substitute another bundle and just pay the difference if there is any.
Retreat Schedule
Friday night, 7-9pm We will play a mini Bingo game with three games and three prizes. I will have a creative challenge, one with a colour combo and one with a sketch and they will be sent to you one week before the event. You can participate in one or both and you will have a chance to win a prize. Photos of your cards can be sent to me and I will create an album for each challenge and everyone can vote which card they like the best. The person with the most votes will win a prize.
We will also have a cut, colour and chat session on Friday night. Many snowmen will have to be stamped, coloured and cut to prepare for card making the following day. Why not do this together and have a nice chin wag while we’re at it?
Saturday morning from ten till noon will be the optional add on class featuring the Coming Home Bundle. If you choose to participate in this class you will get the bundle for $63, no shipping or tax AND you will get to make four great cards with me using this awesome set. Card kit included in your goodie box, so instant gratification, no measuring and cutting, just stamping and assembling.
Saturday afternoon from 1pm till 3pm we will make five cards and the home decor project. Saturday evening from 7pm till 9pm we will make the last five cards.
One of the Cards
Here is one of the cards that we will be making, it is a fun fold with a vintage snowman.
Great Technique for Home Decor Project
Here is a little teaser picture for the Home Decor project that is included with the Cozy Christmas Online Retreat. It uses a fantastic technique that is stunning in its simplicity. I will teach this to you during the retreat and it will double the use of your stamps!
The Clock is Ticking
When you do an online retreat time can get tight. First I have to order the supplies, then I have to kit up all the projects and get them sent to you on time. Usually I should have allowed more time for this, but I have to take into account that I will hopefully to flying back to Holland the week of November 19th, so I had to do the retreat the week before. That being said, you need to register by October 17. That date is fast approaching!!
How to Pay
Your payment is your registration. Etransfer is preferred but PayPal is also accepted as are cheques and cash. If you have any questions, please let me know. This event will be by Zoom only. Thanks for joining me today, I hope you have a super day and I also hope that you are able to join me in this very fun event. It would make my heart very happy to have someone from each province!!
Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Today I am sharing with you a sweet simple card that I cased from the holiday catalog using In the Pines with a deer. In the Pines is a great stamp set that a lot of great pine trees and two versatile sayings. The beautiful deer comes from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley.
In The Pines
Here you can see the In The Pines bundle. It is a two-step stamp but you can definitely use the stamps on their own as well instead of layering.
Not only are the trees great, do you see the great landscape features? This is wonderful for creating realistic layers for horizons and snow.
Where Did the Deer Come From?
Have you ever noticed that sometimes you see a great element on a card and you have no idea where it came from? The deer on my card (that you will soon see) comes from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley which is on page 7 of the annual catalog. I love that you can now get just the refill kit which includes the paper and all the great stickers and the gold stars. The deer is one of the many stickers in this great kit.
What you can’t see so clearly in the image of the In The Pines Bundle is that one of the tree dies just cuts out this beautiful decorative tree shape as a window in your card. What a nice surprise! I love the soft look of this pool party ribbon in behind the main panel. The colours are soft sea foam, pool party and whisper white. You can see all the supplies in the list at the bottom of this blog post.
If you want to see the card I made earlier this week with In The Pines you can see it here. I have also made a lot of cards with Most Wonderful Time and hopefully they will make it into a pdf tutorial for you soon.
More Than Cards
Stampin’Up! makes it super easy to use your stamping supplies to also make cute gift items. We now have both rectangular and circular tins that are very high quality. Add a bit of ribbon, paper and die cuts and you have beautiful packaging.

Stamping together with people all over the country is really fantastic. This event will be a Zoom gathering as it is essential that we can actually see each other and interact. Retreat packages will be mailed to you and that will be included in the price.
Thanks so much for joining me today, I am thankful for YOU! Have a super day.
Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Today I am sharing with you a card that uses In the Pines with Coming Home. Coming Home is the fantastic set with the cute houses and In the Pines has lots of gorgeous trees. Let’s take a look!
In the Pines With Coming Home
Coming Home has really captured my heart and my imagination. Not only do I love all the whimsical houses, I also LOVE the cause it supports. With every stamp set sold, $4 is donated to charities that support adoption, foster care and infertility. That makes my heart happy. Every house is so much more beautiful when it is surrounded with trees. This is true in real life but also on cards. Hence the addition of the stamp set In The Pines.
This is the first card that I made and I really liked it. Then I remembered the spatter technique using a water pen with white craft ink. Of course I needed to try it!
White Craft Ink Spatter Technique
Did you know that if you put a few drops of white craft ink refill on an acrylic block you can do magic? Just add a little water with your new water pen to dilute it a bit. Tap your water pen above your card and you will get a delightful spatter that looks like delicate snow. I love this so much!!
You can see from this closeup picture that I also used some Sparkly Crystal Effects with a bit of dazzling diamonds glitter for some more magic. I coloured the windows with light saffron Blends so that it looks like the house is lit up from inside.
If you want to see more cards using the Trimming the Town suite and Coming Home stamp set, check out this blog post.
Taking the Party Inside
I must confess that sometimes I forget to finish off the inside of the card, but not this time! This is a special inside because it features a simple pop up with another cute house.
I am sure you are wondering where this great sentiment is from. It is actually from a retired host set called Greatest Part of Christmas. Be sure to pay attention to our exclusive host sets. The only way to get them is to either host a qualifying workshop OR place an order of $200. As demonstrators we can also get them when we place a $200 order. If you want to save money on your stamping supplies and you live in Canada, you can! Just get the starter kit through me and you will save 20% on all your orders.
