Lots of Happy Card Kit

Hello stampers and happy Thursday to you. Today I am featuring the Lots of Happy Card Kit which I did a live video on yesterday. Doing that video with you and colouring with the watercolour pencils was a real eye opener for me. I discovered that I really enjoy colouring with watercolour pencils and a blender pen. Remember, I am a die hard Blends fan, so it takes a lot to convince me to colour with different things. This kit is a winner!

What Makes this kit so Special?

Why am I trying to get you to buy this kit? I can think of lots of great reasons, but let’s just list a few for fun.

  1. It has twenty cards in it and some of them have fun and funky shapes and sizes.
  2. The colour scheme allows you to really change things up if you want. You can colour the black and white images in the whole spectrum of colours.
  3. The green variegated ribbon that is included is beautiful and will go with everything,
  4. This set comes with four watercolour pencils, a mini ink pad AND an acrylic block, plus a  6 piece stamp set. One of the watercolour pencils is exclusive and only comes in this kit. (the lemon-lime twist one)
  5. It will give you HOURS of fun while you are stuck at home and there are lots of cards so your whole family can join in on the fun too. There are refill kits available if you want to make more cards.

Lots of Happy Card Kit cards

Let’s get to the fun! Here are the cards all close up so you can see how beautiful they are. I stuck to the colour scheme, but in the past I have done them in vibrant reds and greens as well for a stunning effects.

Watercolouring Rain Boots

Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Do you love rain boots as much as I do? Colourful rain boots make me smile, and I finally got a pair of bright red Hunter boots three years ago. They were an unheard of, irresistible deal at The Bay for only $49.99. I wear them all year long and whenever I do, I get comments. People love them! That is why I was thrilled that the bonus set from Paper Pumpkin had rain boot outline stamps AND rainboot filler stamps with a cute floral pattern.

Singing in the Rain

We all need a little joy and whimsy these days with this low cloud of menace hanging over our heads. The unknown is scary and we are no longer sure of what the near future holds. Let’s have a little creative escape with these super cute rain boots. I started by stamping a sheet full of them in all different colours. Then I stamped a few more on shimmery white cardstock and watercoloured them with my aqua painter in a few more colours. Love!! Truthfully, these boots remind me of one of my favourite kids books that I used to read to my kids. It was called Big Sarah’s Little Boots.

Rain Boots

Watercolouring Rain Boots

I was inspired by a fellow Canadian demonstrator, Laura Seki, who used boots and a saying. My saying comes from the saleabration stamp set Tags in Bloom. Here are Laura’s cards:

Rain Boots by Laura Seki

I wasn’t sure where her saying came from and I was too lazy to emboss so that is how I came up with my idea. Watercolouring with an aqua painter on shimmery white cardstock is fantastic. When you see the card in person you can really see how the shimmer comes through in the background and in the boots. If you cut your pieces 3 5/8″ by 4 7/8″ then you will get five pieces per sheet.

Which Boots are Your Favourite?

I also stamped a whack load of boots on a sheet of cardstock and stamped the patterns in different colours. Check it out! I even like the grey ones! Do you have fun rubber boots?

Rain Boots in Lots of Colours

Trust me, it is so much fun to cut out these boots and decide which ones to put together on a card. Creativity is great for mental health, it takes your mind off the dark thoughts that can creep in during times like this. I challenge you to get out your stamping supplies and just play! If you want to get in on the Paper Pumpkin fun, here is the link to do that, your family will thank you.

Uplifting and Cheerful

I hope that this blog post made you smile today. In turn, you can bring a smile to my face and leave a comment. Tell me what you are doing to stay sane these days. What brings you the most joy? Yesterday I made apple pie and I have enough pie crust rolled out for two more pies and two dozen butter tarts. Tomorrow I will share my butter tart recipe. I think they are the best butter tarts in the world, but it is the pastry that takes them over the top in my estimation.

Flowering Foils

Hello stampers and happy Tuesday to you all. Today I am showing some simple cards with Flowering Foils as well as a video so you can see this paper transform in front of your eyes. This lovely paper is only available as a free saleabration item when you spend $60 and this fabulous sale ends on March 31 or while supplies last. There are four designs and three of each design in this pack of specialty designer series paper.

Flowering Foils Cards

I made four cards using the same colour scheme of pear pizzazz and balmy blue for a calming effect that we can all really use right now! If you want to make these cards too, I have simple kits on my front porch that include three card bases, 8 flowering foil sheets that are 4″ by 6″, ribbon for three cards and three envelopes. They are $15 and will give you some fun playing time, message me if you want one! I could mail just the foil sheets for $5.

Choosing Family

I took closeup pictures of all the cards but I am not going to put them in this blog post. Instead, I am going to make apple pies and spend some time with my kids. Sometimes you just have to stop working for a while and enjoy the blessings God put in your life right at this time! I know you will understand. I will post the other pictures later. Hopefully you are also finding time to spend with your loved ones, either in person or with Facetime or phone calls.

Video Tutorial

Here is the Facebook live video I did this morning showing you how to transform the Flowering Foils paper. Remember, there are kits on the porch so you can play along with me! If you want to see some more great cards using sponge daubers, check out this super popular blog post from a year ago.

Thanks!

Thanks for joining me today, both here on my blog and on my business Facebook page The Pampered Stamper. If you are bored and want to check out more videos, I have quite a few on YouTube as well. You can check them out here. I hope you have a super day and let me know if there is anything you want me to do a video on.

Make A Splash

Hello stampers and happy Monday. Today I want to share some very simple kids cards using Make A Splash. This stamp set is NOT for sale but you can get it for FREE if you place a $200 order or if you host a virtual workshop. How much fun would that be? You can invite some of your friends and we can do a private Zoom class. Everyone can then place their orders using the host code and you will get the host rewards. If we do it before March 31, then you will all get free saleabration products too.

Fishy Kids Cards

This is such a fun set where you can use the stamps to build a colourful scene. There are three different fish and three different types of plant life. Included in this fun stamp set is also a happy crab, some bubbles, a fish bowl and a water stamp and a water line stamp. Lots of creative possibilities. I hope to use this set for my next kids class.

When I am editing these pictures I am thinking, wow, they are dark! I must have taken these at night, so sorry that they are a little unclear. You do get the picture though, pardon the pun!

The Details on Make a Splash Cards

Make a Splash

I used granny apple green, pumpkin pie and bermuda bay. If you use shimmery white cardstock then you can also use an aqua painter for a fun effect.

Make a Splash

Here the fish were stamped repeatedly in pumpkin pie. Two of the fish were stamped and fussy cut and then popped up with dimensionals. The saying was stamped in versamark and embossed in white on pretty peacock cardstock. I added a few gold sequins and some bubbles in bermuda bay.

Make a Splash

This card uses shimmery white cardstock. I stamped the fish bowl in memento ink stamped off so it would be lighter. An aqua painter was used to colour the water and then the fish were stamped on top. The fish on the top right was stamped upside down, so he wasn’t looking too lively. I decided that this would be an embellishment opportunity, so I popped up another fussy cut fish so it would appear that this lively fish was swimming ahead of the unfortunate one! Here is a blog post from a year ago that shows more watercolouring on shimmery white cardstock.

Class to Go

I am hoping to incorporate these cards into a Littles and Me class to go for Saturday April 11. The first seven people who sign up will get the Make a Splash stamp set as an Easter gift from me. Stay tuned for details, the only thing I know for sure is that the class will be $35 and there will be enough supplies for the whole family.

Time is Running Out

This is the last week of March, so that means time is running out for you to get free saleabration items or to get an amazing deal on the starter kit. With everyone starting to go a little stir crazy from being cooped up in their own homes and not being able to socialize, a box full of Stampin’Up! supplies is a great antidote to boredom. If you live in Canada and want to examine this option but need more information, please message me and we can chat! Know what you want? Click here to get started.

If you are a fellow Stampin’Up! demonstrator and would love some personal training in a small group environment, you might want to join my Pampered Stamper Facebook training group. There is small monthly fee of five dollars to compensate me for my time, but it is worth far more than that. I do weekly live videos and a free monthly pdf tutorial. Connecting is what I do best, and I love to help you maximize your potential.

Thank You!

Thanks so much for joining me today, I hope you are keeping sane throughout these unusual times. I am doing daily Facebook lives, I hope you join me and that you tell your friends about it too. Creativity and live videos can really help people feel less alone. There has never been a better time for happy mail, so start stamping and sending cards and making a difference in people’s lives! I hope you have a super day.

The Littles and Me

Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Before this whole COVID-19 pandemic I created a new class called The Littles and Me. It was to be held every other Saturday and it was to be a fun, easy class for any adult and child combo. Now with responsible social distancing I had to get creative. Paper Pumpkin to the rescue!

Keeping Your Family Entertained

People are keenly feeling the stress of social isolation. There are few distractions available to help spend time with your children and so it is time to get creative and I would love to help with that. I am a huge believer in meaningful creativity. When a crafting experience can also serve a good purpose, it is a winner in my eyes. For my Littles and Me class tomorrow at 10am I am using the No Matter the Weather Paper Pumpkin kit. This is definitely a God thing. Who would have thought that I would order 30 Paper Pumpkins with the hope that I would have enough people sponsor a kit for the Cancer Campaign?

Stampin’Up! does not permit us to included stamped images in our kits. There is a good reason for that!  Pre-stamped images would negatively impact the sales of our stamp sets. The purpose of Stampin’Up! is for people to experience the joy and thrill of inking a stamp and putting it on paper. When I had to cancel my in person Littles and Me class, I needed to find an alternative that would allow the kids to be able to stamp along with me at home. Yay for Paper Pumpkin.

The Bonus Set

Since March was the sixth anniversary of Paper Pumpkin, there was a bonus stamp set in this month’s kit. I took those bonus stamps out so that I could build another class around it and have enough stamps so that the littles would still be able to stamp along with me. Today I am going to share the cards I made with this set.  I would highly recommend that you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin if you haven’t already done so, your kids and grandkids and maybe even your partner will thank you for it!

Little and Me online class

No Matter The Weather

These cards definitely coordinate with the stamp set in the No Matter the Weather Paper Pumpkin kit, but they can also be used alone. I did use the cloud stamp and the brick stamp from the Paper Pumpkin stamp set, but I know that kids can easily draw their own clouds and bricks as well. Here is a closeup of one of the cards and the stamp set that you get with this class. If you would like to see the cards from the first class, click on this link.

Littles and Me class to go

The Littles and Me To Go Online Class

What is included with this class? How does it work and how much does it cost? It is $35, you get 20 notecards and envelopes, two ink spots OR a full sized used ink pad (I am clearing out my extras) and the stamp set. You pick up the kit from my front porch after you have prepaid and I will do a live video on Saturday March 28 at 10am. I am hoping to be able to do a weekly kids class so that they have something to look forward to. This is something that the whole family can participate in and then you can take more time to write notes and letters inside the cards you have made and mail them to your relatives and friends who need some happy mail.

Stay Safe

Social distancing will definitely slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus and will keep the vulnerable population safer. To help with this I encourage you to order your kits online directly through my online store. I can recommend the following kits and the links to them will be in the supply list below if you live in Canada, if you live in the States you can shop with my cross border buddy Julie Gilson.

  1. Paper Pumpkin, a monthly subscription or get one, three, six or twelve month prepaid subscriptions so you can get free host benefits and saleabration freebies (until March 31)
  2. Three Cheers for You Card Kit.
  3. Botanical Prints Product Medley (you get a free pdf tutorial from me to make 12 cards)
  4. Seriously the Best kit (stamp set sold separately) Here is my blog post on that one.
  5. Looking Up Card Kit
  6. Notes of Kindness Kit
  7. Lots of Happy card kit
  8. For the Love of Felt project kit (stamp set sold separately)

Thanks!

Thanks so much for joining me on my blog today, please do pin and share as much as you can to help spread the word about paper crafting and meaningful activities to do with families and to connect families that are apart. I hope you are doing well and staying hopeful. Here is the recipe for my delicious banana muffins. The muffins take 20 minutes at 350F. I did substitute half the flour with oat flour (just put oatmeal in the blender and grind it to powder). I did not add the glaze to the muffins but that would have been delicious!

You can see this is a well-seasoned page. If I remember correctly it made 2 dozen muffins. Happy stamping and happy baking. #itsallaboutthetreats #thepamperedstamper

Have a super day!
