Hello stampers and happy Monday to you! Today I am sharing with you Penguin Playmates. Discover your inner child when you play with this fun paper and make cheerful cards. Penguin Playmates is going to be the focus of my January Parcels in the Post. Today I made one of these cards for my Cheer Corner. Would you like to see it?
Penguin Playmates Cards
I actually took a picture of both cards. One features a sentiment from the Penguin Place bundle and the other one has a sentiment from Joyful Life. How fitting!
I have always loved winter. Perhaps it has to do with growing up on a farm. Winters on the farm were cozy. It was snug in the barn with all the animals and it was magical to play upstairs in the barn in the haymow and to build tunnels and forts there. The very best part is that our farm house was built on a hill that was great for tobogganing. When I see fantastical creatures in snow clothes, that makes my inner child very happy indeed. What about you? Do you have winter stories to tell?
The Inside of the Card
This was the first time that I had used this stamp set and I had forgotten that it has some Christmas elements to it. The adorable hedgehog is carrying a bowl of something yummy and the bowl has a sprig of holly in it. I’m not sure if the bowl is full of apples or donuts or cookies. What does it look like to you? There is also a saying that says Season’s Greetings. The happy pig in this stamp set appears to be holding a takeaway cup of hot chocolate or coffee, either that or a weirdly shaped microphone!

Stay tuned!!
Thanks!
Thanks for joining me today. I think I am just about over my jet lag so I will soon be sharing what is happening here in Holland. Yesterday many many Dutch people were celebrating as a Dutchman, Max Verstappen won the world Formula 1 Racing Cup. The best part for me? It was a Canadian who helped make that happen! Have a super day!
Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Today’s card features a pretty pink poinsettia. I received this gorgeous card from my team member Liz Fields. Liz does beautiful work and she is now teaching “my” coffee and a card class together with Yvonne Macfadyen every week. I am so proud of these ladies for continuing the tradition and doing so very well with it. Please check out Liz’ business Facebook page Papillion Creations. Now let’s take a look at Liz’s card.
Pretty Pink Poinsettia
Before I show you the card, I want to share that you could WIN the poinsettia stamp set and dies if you subscribe to my YouTube channel and comment on one of the videos. Just comment here on my blog that you have done so. If you have already subscribed then you can share my blog post OR my videos on Facebook or Instagram and that will also get you entered into the draw.
Liz used the Merry Melody embossing folder and the Whimsy and Wonder paper as well as the Ornate Layers dies. Isn’t it beautiful??
At first glance I thought Liz had used a beautiful but retired embellishment in the middle of the poinsettia. I was wrong! It is a die cut using the Be Dazzling glimmer paper from saleabration!

Here is the Parcel in the Post for December, it is $25 for porch pickup or $32 mailed anywhere in Canada. Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Today’s post features the Time of Giving Tags and Cards. The dies were definitely designed to fit tags perfectly, but I am thrilled to show you that they also work for cards and boxes. I had made my tags weeks ago and forgot to blog about them, but the cards today are inspired by fellow Canadian demonstrator Alanna Wharf. Let’s take a look at the tags first.
Time of Giving Tags
My colour palette for these tags is kraft, evening evergreen, real red and basic white. Classic country Christmas colours. I’m so glad that Stampin’Up! brought back kraft paper to our Holiday Catalog.
You can’t see it in the picture, but the red tag is made using our gorgeous Red Velvet Paper. The white velvet is also lovely with these dies.
Time of Giving Cards
When you use these tags as the focal point of a card, it also looks fantastic. I first used Alanna’s card as an inspiration using the smoky slate, basic black and red plaid paper from the Peaceful Prints saleabration paper.
The second card uses the same colour scheme as my tags: evening evergreen and kraft paper. I love the plaid paper behind the black tag. Thanks again Alanna Wharf @sleeplessstamper for the fantastic inspiration. It was one of those moments where you almost squeal with delight!
Parcels in the Post
What I love about my card is that it fits in perfectly with my Parcels in the Post theme for next month. You can still get your Parcel in the Post for $32 mailed anywhere in Canada or for $25 porch pickup in Chatham. Take a look at the photo below to see what is in it. Beginning next week I will be doing videos every Tuesday at 10am EST showing you various projects with this Parcel in the Post.
You can get your Parcel in the Post in two ways. E-transfer is preferred to [email protected] OR you can use PayPal here.
More Ideas
A while ago I made some gorgeous tea light holders using these dies. Check out my blog post on that here.
Thanks!
Thanks for joining me today and a special thanks to all of you who subscribed to my YouTube channel. I met my goal of 4000 subscribers. How long will it take to get to 5000? Congratulations to Claudette Meriano who won the Cabin Dies. Don’t forget there are only two more days to get the amazing deal on the starter kit. Only $100 for $165 worth of products and a coveted spot on my top ranking team!
Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Lady in Red. Do you know that song by Chris DeBurgh? It was iconic in the 80s and it really resonates with me as red is my favourite colour and I love to wear it. I have had more than one red dress in my lifetime! Today’s cards are all red so I thought I would give this blog post a catchy title. Let’s take a look.
Red Peaceful Deer Cards
The cards that I am about to share are all made with the materials from my latest Parcel in the Post. These parcels include patterned paper, cardstock, ribbon and glimmer paper as well as iridescent snowflakes. Each Tuesday in December at 10am EST on YouTube and Facebook I will be sharing these projects so you can be inspired to use YOUR Parcel in the Post. Only $25 for porch pickup or $32 mailed anywhere in Canada.
This card was inspired by Cathy Proctor. She used metric measurements so I had to figure out how to do it with imperial measurements. Originally I made the plaid piece behind the deer too large, but now it is just right!
This card was inspired by Libby Fens. The sentiment is from Snowflake Wishes, the paper is from my Parcels in the Post kit.
This card was inspired by Lori Pinto. I just added the Be Dazzling glimmer paper to it. Gorgeous isn’t it? Who knew that sahara sand could be such a wonderful colour?
The Card that Started it All
This card is the one that inspired me to build a kit around the Peaceful Prints paper. I originally made it for a tutorial team that I am a part of and now it is going to be featured in my Parcels in the Post video tutorials in December. Get your kit now so that you can play along!
Here is a look at the inside of the card. I love how it showcases both sides of the paper as well as the Encircled in Beauty dies. You can see how I made the reverse punch deer in this blog post.
Parcels in the Post
Here is another look at what is included in this amazing package that I call Parcels in the Post. Treat yourself to happy mail!!

If you read my previous blog post you can read how you can easily meet your minimum sales requirement to keep your discount simply by getting your friends to watch my Parcels in the Post videos. They can then buy their supplies from YOU!!
Starter Kit
If you do decide to put these items into a starter kit so you can enjoy your own discount or grow your own business, here is the link if you live in Canada.
Well hello stampers and happy Monday to you! Today I am going to share the first projects that I hope to share with you in conjunction with my Parcels in the Post. Parcels in the Post is a kit program that I am offering to make it easier and more affordable to create along with me. I remember when I first started papercrafting that I was often missing something when I wanted to recreate a card. There is only so much you can buy and I was sad to miss out.
How Does Parcels in the Post Work?
With the Parcels in the Post I will be putting together a package of basic supplies including patterned paper, cardstock, ribbon and perhaps other accessories. I will then use this package as a source for my projects. Every Tuesday I will share some projects that I have made using these Parcels in the Post. The other thing that I will offer you is a supply list of the main stamp sets or bundles that are featured in my kit. To save you money, I will suggest that you put these items in a starter kit so you can get your own discount.
How Will This Save You Even More Money?
Stay with me here. It gets better. When you get your starter kit you will also get 8 catalogs. If you share my YouTube videos with Parcels in the Post with your friends, chances are they will want to join you in this fun journey. You can then give them a catalog, show them the list of supplies needed to play along and then you will have orders from them so that you can keep your discount. If they love it, then you can have them get the starter kit with you! You won’t have to do anything except share what I do.
That also means that you will be a part of my Beyond Pampered Team and you will be able to join me on fantastic retreats like the one happening from June 3 to June 5 2021. There are still 8 spots available. Check out the link to this gorgeous retreat cabin here.
Parcels in the Post Inspiration Projects
Here is the first card that I made for my Parcels in the Post projects. Many of my projects use the Encircled in Beauty dies. They are actually part of an Encircled in Friendship bundle and there is also an Encircled in Warmth set to go with it as well. That is the stamp set that I used for these cards. Check it out!
The next Peaceful Deer Parcels in the Post inspiration card uses a neutral Sahara Sand palette. I love how the buffalo plaid deer just pops with his Be Dazzling antlers.
The next card was inspired by Heather Forgan. It uses the beautiful snowflakes that are included in your Parcel in the Post. This is my “Where’s Waldo” card. That crumb is not on your computer screen, it is on my card!! It really is all about the treats!
The last project that I am sharing today is a gift bag and it continues the garden green theme as well as the Encircled in Beauty dies. On Wednesday we will switch to the real red and cherry cobbler palette for the remainder of the projects.
How to Get Your Parcel in the Post
If you want to get your Parcel in the Post, don’t delay. There are three options. $25 for porch pickup, $32 for mailing anywhere in Canada and $40 mailed to the US. Here is the PayPal link. I did tweak my prices a wee bit. Not the base price, but the shipping included prices. It was time to be realistic and stop eating the extra shipping costs myself. Thanks for understanding!
A PDF Option
There will also be a pdf only option, but it is not available just yet. You will get notified once it is my tutorial store. You can check out the ones that are available now, there are lots to choose from!
Get Your Own Discount
I know that I am in danger of sounding like a broken record, but I am truly passionate about this. If you love stamping and card making or scrapbooking, you deserve your own discount. It is honestly so easy to introduce this fun hobby to your friends without ever having to do a class. Simply invite them over to help you make the cards in your Paper Pumpkin kit that is included in your starter kit.
For the month of November this kit is only $100 and you get to fill it with $165 worth of products of your choice. Click here to get started or message me if you have questions.
Thank You!
Thanks for joining me today, I hope you have a super day. Take a good look at the supply list below, that is what I used to create the projects from my Parcels in the Post for my December videos. Just so you know (I did a little math for you) if you get the Peaceful Deer bundle, the Encircled in Beauty Dies, the Encircled in Warmth stamp set, the Snowflake Wishes stamp set and a spool of either gold shimmer or black gingham ribbon that totals exactly $165. If you would put these on a normal order it would be $202.95. Until the end of November you pay only $100. Tell me that doesn’t just blow your mind?! That’s all for now….
