Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Today I have two Valentine’s Triple Cube Pop-Up cards for you. Isn’t that a mouthful? I am super happy with how they turned out and I hope that you are too. There is even a video showing you how to make it so that you can see it isn’t too difficult. The fun part of this video is that it is part of a Global Video Hop Collab Group, so you will be able to see videos from around the world all showing fun fold cards.
Valentine’s Triple Cube Pop-Up Cards
For these cards I used the Sweet Conversations bundle and the Sweet Talk paper. It really is quite adorable. One of the cards is more simple than the other one with less layering.
The one on the left is without the layering and has a basic white base, the one on the right has a highland heather base and has that extra layering as well. Which do you prefer?
Here is a shot of all the pieces that you need to layer on to your card base. Can you believe that I started with these pieces before making the actual base? I find it easy to get all the fiddly bits out of the way first. The card base is actually really simple. If you would like to see another card like this, check out this blog post from a while back.
Video Tutorial
Want to learn how to make this card? Just watch this video and you will be all set!
Measurements
All measurements are all included in my video. The purpose of doing a video is to save time writing a tutorial! It is also helpful to see a card being made rather than just reading about it. I hope you enjoy it and I look forward to seeing your comments! If you like it, please share so more people can see it too. Thanks so much!
Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Today my theme is Sending Love Your Way. Valentine’s Day has come and gone, and Family Day was two days ago here in Canada. On my desk are the cutest “Sending Love Your Way” boxes that my mom made for the grandkids. Oops! That’s right, I was supposed to hand them out on Monday but I had hurt my back on Friday night and was not thinking straight. It’s a good thing that we can send love any day of the year!
Making It Easy
My dear mom is 88 and quite truthfully although she is a very talented and crafty person, she has not done much papercrafting over the years. She is an expert seamstress, knitter, crocheter and gardener. She can also draw much better than I can but she only ever sketches on old envelopes or note pads with advertising on them. That is why I love bringing a Paper Pumpkin with me when I visit her. The last time I was there she had made these little boxes.
The reason I am sharing them with you today is two fold. One, I am still in a fair bit of pain so I really need to take it easy and not go crazy hauling out stamp sets and making a new card. I did start that process because I am itching to ink up the Friends are Like Seashells bundle. Two, I am super excited about the Paper Pumpkin possibilities. Paper Pumpkin is instant gratification in your mailbox and a great way for you to share what you love.
The truth is that a lot of people are looking for a meaningful hobby. Especially during Covid, it has been so good to have a healthy distraction from the vicissitudes of life. Stamping brings double joy, to the stamper and to the recipient of the stamped projects. The March Paper Pumpkin also has a bonus in it because it is the anniversary edition which always has a bonus gift. This time it is four stencils and a full size sponge which I always cut into wedges. Did you know that you can get at least eight sponge wedges out of one sponge?
Here is the link if you live in Canada and want to subscribe. You can also get a three month prepaid subscription and then you qualify for a free saleabration item. That is what I would recommend of course. I am all about getting you the most bang for your buck!
Sending Love Your Way Boxes
Here are the cute boxes that my mom made with last month’s Paper Pumpkin add on kit, Sending Love Your Way. I still have a few left over if you want one!! Those snails are so cute.
If you want to see some other adorable things I have made with the February Paper Pumpkin kit and this cute add-on, check out this blog post.
Saleabration Coming to a Close
Just a reminder that saleabration is only two months this year, so you have until February 28 to get a free item with your $60 purchase. If you haven’t seen the saleabration brochure, you can check out the offerings here.
Parcels in the Post
I still have three Parcels in the Post up for grabs. This is a wonderful assortment of products for only $32 shipped anywhere in Canada. Let me know if you want one!!
Virtual Coffee and a Card packets
It is now the third month of my virtual coffee and a card class. This month the theme is Flowering Cactus and the kit includes extra patterned paper as well as a ton of felt flowers. This kit is only $25 mailed anywhere in Canada. At some point I hope to have a subscription option available and things will look a little more streamlined. In the meantime, we soldier on. The videos are all on my YouTube channel which you can find here. I hope you subscribe and join me for my weekly videos there, every Tuesday at 10am EST.
Thanks for joining me today, I hope you have a super day. I am having an oma day today! So nice to have the lockdown lifted a bit to make this possible. Thankfully Rachel is home today so she can do the lifting for me and I can enjoy the snuggles. I am hoping very much to be able to get back to some serious stamping tomorrow and catch up a bit. I appreciate you very much!!
Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Do you ever fall in love with a stamp set? Kangaroo & Company just might make you fall in love. Sometimes stamps just evoke such strong feelings, and this is one of them. The mama kangaroo will just make you smile when you stamp and colour her and the little joey will give you the warm and fuzzies. Then, when you put them all together with the stamped and die cut accessories you might just feel like a little girl playing with paper dolls agai.
Kangaroo & Company Options
When I was showing this bundle in a video I had stamped some kangaroos showing the reverse stamping technique so I now have a nice little collection to show you.
My team member Kylee sent me a photo showing what she had done and I love it. You can put more than one item in the kangaroo pouch! Simple but genius and it looks ever so cute. Thanks Kylee!
Adorable Accessories
I think the best part about this Kangaroo & Company bundle is the dies that cut everything out. The kangaroo die also cuts a slit in the pouch to make it super easy to tuck the accessories in. There are dies for the joey, flowers, present, hearts, sentiments and a sitting joey too. I haven’t made a card with it yet but I did make two adorable boxes. I did find some adorable samples from the Stampin’Up! catalog which as you might already know is a fantastic idea book!
My Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes
If you follow me you may know that I am on a mission to create more boxes. These are not made “from scratch” but I love the sturdiness of the mini paper pumpkin boxes that are also food safe. Did I mention that they are also a pretty good deal?
One Last Find
On my Stampin’Up! business website I found another card sample and what intrigued me about this one is the paper in the background. It comes from the Flowering Cactus product medley that I was talking about on Friday. How coincidental is that?
Some Points to Ponder
That’s it for today but I wanted to remind you to tune in to my YouTube channel every Tuesday at 10am for my virtual coffee and a card class. Of course you can also purchase the monthly kit to stamp along with me, but you can also just watch along for fun and be inspired. Today is February 1 so there are only four weeks left of saleabration. It really is quite wonderful to get a free stamp set or package of paper with every $60 purchase. Questions? Message me!
There is still room in my online Bingo for March 10. Read all about it here.

Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. I have finally finished all my Parcels in the Post creations and am inspired to also create a pdf tutorial for it. My last creation is a True Love Double Point card with a masculine feel to it. I think you can guess where this card is going!
True Love Double Point Card
The palette for this card is basic black and sahara sand with a touch of white. Since it is going to a man I thought I would skip the blushing bride ribbon and use the Fine Art gold ribbon instead.
Here you can see a close up of the heart detail and then I will share what the inside looks like. If you want to see how to make a double point card, you can see a video tutorial here.
If you want to see my first ever double point card, you can check out this blog post from two years ago.
Parcels in the Post
I created Parcels in the Post to save you money AND jump start your creativity. When you have a lovely package of assorted and coordinating products plus a video tutorial to get you going, life is pretty good. I know that I really hate feeling stupid and when you are stuck staring at a bunch of products with no idea of what to do with them, you can feel stupid. I know I do!! Let me know if you want a Parcel in the Post!
A Few of My Creations
Here is a picture of the cards that I created with my Parcels in the Post. All of the supplies are from the kit I created except for the gold ribbon on the one card.
Video Tutorial
Here is the video tutorial that I did live on YouTube on Saturday morning. I really hope you take the time to have a peek and also be sure to subscribe to my channel so you will see all my fun videos.
Thanks!
Thanks so much for joining me today, it was a bit of a read!! Don’t forget to take advantage of the saleabration deals and the best deal of all, the starter kit! The current host code is always on the right hand side of my blog when you click the “home” button at the top.
Hello stampers and happy Thursday to you. Music from the Heart is a fantastic stamp set that was designed by Dawn Olchefske when she became a million sales achiever. Turns out that in her regular life she is a trained classical pianist who is also a band junkie! This is a super versatile set that is great for many ages and both genders. Here is the link to Dawn’s blog so you can see what she has created with it and you can also read her story.
Grand Piano Card
This card is just so very impressive. I made it but I certainly didn’t design it. Dawn did and she also has a free pdf on her blog so you can make it too. Yes, there is a bit of cutting to make the piano keys, but it is not difficult and totally worth it.
The red, white and black in this card make it perfect for Valentine’s or anniversary but it would also make a perfect wedding card. The discerning eye will be able to pick up that my piano is in need of a little tuning. One of the keys has a slight lift to it!! For the complete measurements, pdf and video, you can check out this blog post from Dawn.
Funky Guitar
Until I read Dawn’s blog post I had no idea that you could combine the treble clef and the guitar handle to make a funky guitar. I recommend using your stamparatus to do this! You do have to fussy cut it but it isn’t difficult. This card is great and also super versatile for so many people. I used the stitched star dies and silver foil paper and you could switch up the colours to suit the recipient.
If you do a Google search you will find lots and lots of cards made with this set and that is great because you will never lack inspiration! I found this one by Paula Reid and I thought I would share it with you too. If you want to read the great story behind her card, be sure to check out her blog post here.
Happy Mail in Canada for Gerard
I thought it was fitting to include the information for the happy mail in Canada contest for Gerard here. I’m not sure if you know our love story, but you can read about it here. He is coming to visit on March 29 and I thought it would be wonderful to surprise him with a lot of happy mail from all of you. Please send a masculine card to Gerard van der Sar c/o Jackie Bultje 81 Delaware Ave, Chatham, Ontario N7L 2W3. You will be entered into a contest for a masculine stamp set of your choice from the mini catalog and I will blog about your card too.
Hello stampers and happy Tuesday to you. Today I am showing the love with Heartfelt. I really do love Valentine’s Day and I have always done a Valentine’s Day party for my kids. The table would be set with pretty dishes and fresh flowers and of course I would make heart shaped cookies and cupcakes. At each place setting there would also be a cute little bag full of Valentine’s treats. It’s important to show your love to those around you and make them feel special.
Heartfelt Card
Stampin’Up! always has at least one luscious Valentine’s Day set, and lately they have a whole suite of products that make it super easy to make beautiful cards and gifts. Did you know that heart shaped tins are perfectly suited to making mini brownies or cupcakes? I think I will do this for the kids and grandkids this weekend. We made this Heartfelt card at coffee and a card this morning.
The From My Heart specialty designer series paper makes it super easy to make a beautifully coordinated card. I have to say, I’m really appreciated the heart punch pack too. Framelits and dies are great, but punches are quick and easy! Do you see the adorable cupid’s arrow behind the hearts? Love how the silver embossed arrow coordinates with the silver edged satin ribbon.
The striped piece is 1 1/2″ by 4 3/4″ and the heart piece is 2 1/2″ by 4 3/4″. The hearts cover up the “seam”.
If this makes you sad because you don’t have time to get this in time for your Valentine’s celebration, don’t stress. These beautiful heart inspired cards would be welcome any time of the year. Some of the other sayings in this set include “from my heart to yours”, “So lucky to have a friend like you” and “love you lots”. How about “being friends is better than eating candy (but let’s do that too)”
#itsallaboutthetreats
I have a tradition for my coffee and a card class as well. On the class closest to Valentine’s Day there are very special treats. This year I finally baked linzer cookies. These cookies are a classic at high end bakeries and for good reason. They are beautiful works of art that taste as good as they look. I really enjoyed making them and look forward to a new tradition. The recipe is from Canadian baker Anna Olsen.
Here is the recipe if you would like to make them yourself.
Share the Love
While I am a big fan of Valentine’s Day that doesn’t mean that all was well in the land of romance for me. Perhaps that is why I put the focus on the kids. Either way, no matter where you are in life and what the state of your heart is, Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to spread kindness. Paper Pumpkin is amazing for that. Paper Pumpkin makes it easy to make super cute things and share them with lots of people. You would be amazed to see the transformation on an adult’s face when they receive a random Valentine’s surprise. I love putting as many as possible in a large purse and handing them out at the grocery store to stressed out moms, lonely old people or overworked and underpaid clerks and tellers.
Just a heads up that the March kit will have a bonus stamp set in it, and it’s a big one! Measures 4″ by 6″, so that will be a lot of stamps. Click here to subscribe and get some free saleabration items as well.
Happy Mail in Canada Contest for Gerard

I will once again blog about your card and you will be entered into a contest to win the masculine stamp set of your choice from the mini catalog. Send your cards to Jackie Bultje 81 Delaware Ave, Chatham, Ontario N7L 2W3.
