Grown with Kindness Sampler

Hello stampers. I was thrilled to find two refill kits from Grown With Kindness in my paper cabinet. Now I could design a sampler that  I had brewing in my head. I really love the stamp set that came in this Paper Pumpkin as well as the gorgeous paper in the kit. The paper/cardstock was meant to layer on cards but with some creativity I came up with a different plan! Here is what I made. It is a 12 x 12 sampler in a very inexpensive frame.

Good Things Grow Paper Pumpkin February 2019 used in a 12 x 12 sampler. Kits available!

You could definitely use different paper for the background, I was playing with about five different ones but I settled on this one because it brings out the pool party colour in the cups. I have a neat trick for the saying on the bottom left square. Let’s take a closeup look.

The saying from Good Things Grow is stamped on vellum and clear embossed.

I stamped the saying from Grown With Kindness in Fresh Fig and since ink takes longer to dry on vellum I was able to clear emboss to give a nice raised image that is also more intense. I sponged Tombow liquid adhesive on the back of the vellum so that it doesn’t show. Fresh fig is retiring in a few days, so if you need any cardstock or ink refills be sure to order now! Just click on the images at the end of my blog post and then you will go straight to my online store. Live in Canada and have never ordered online before? No worries, it is totally safe. Just click on Create Account on the top left of the screen. You will be prompted on what to do next. If you choose to use the host code TXE4JNCY I would be most grateful.

If you are interested in a kit, let me know. Maybe I will have time to offer this as an in person class as well. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day.

Vintage Nest with Eggs

Hello stampers. Oh the thrill of finding a pretty vintage nest with eggs in the lower branches of a tree! This Hugs from Shelli Paper Pumpkin kit fills me with joy. I especially love the card with the vintage nest of eggs on it and the matching envelopes with the pretty little nest of eggs. I have been on a Paper Pumpkin bandwagon for the month of May because I really believe in this product and I want you to lock in the savings before the price goes up in June! So many people ask me for a kit after I get them but often the good ones are sold out. Lately there have been a lot of stellar kits and I proved to my Blends class just a while ago that you can turn what you think is a “bad” Paper Pumpkin into some very pretty cards. Let’s take a look at what I made using the leftovers of the kit.

Hugs From Shelli May 2019 Paper Pumpkin alternatives. Subscribe before the price goes up in June!

For the card on the left I used the bird from Best Birds and coloured her with Blends. The only other thing I added was polkadot tulle ribbon. I added a mat of Balmy Blue cardstock and put it on a Very Vanilla card. For the card on the right, I ran a piece of Pool Party cardstock through the Pinewood Planks embossing folder. I cut out the label with the vintage nest from the matching envelope and tied some twine around it. So simple, so pretty.

such a simple pretty card made from a piece of the envelope in the Paper Pumpkin Kit

Here you can see the detail of this pretty card. The pinewood planks embossing folder is the perfect fit with this vintage nest. I tied the twine from the kit around the pool party mat before adhering it to the card base. I adore this card because not only is it beautiful it is stunningly simple!! The best combination ever.

Best Birds combines with May 2019 Paper Pumpkin for a beautiful alternative.

Do you think this card would look better if I coloured the eggs in the vintage nest and the leaves on the branches? Let me know and I will try out your ideas! Thanks so much for stopping by, and if you want to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, here is the link. I hope you have a super day. Make someone happy and send a card today.

PS. My new catalogs are here! Let me know if you want one. I will mail anywhere in Canada. Postage is around $5 but I trust that if you want me to mail you a catalog that you will also order from me and then the catalog is my gift to you. If you want it only for inspiration, then I would appreciate payment to cover the shipping.

Good Things Grow Sampler

Hello stampers. Happy Monday!! Good Things Grow was a Paper Pumpkin kit from March 2018 and I loved it so much that I ordered quite a few, enough to make samplers with it. The first one I made had a lemon lime twist background and I just made a second version with a daffodil delight background with a lace overlay. The good news is that they are available as kits!! They are only $20 each. Not sure yet on the shipping cost. I think it will be quite cheap if you provide your own background because then the package will be smaller, but I will definitely look into it.

Good Things Grow Paper Pumpkin kit turned into a framed art sampler

Here is a closeup of this one. I added a gold foil acetate overlay for even more luscious texture. I have four kits with this available.

Good Things Grow closeup with gold accented window sheet overlay. Only four kits available for this one.

When I was at Art in the Park on Saturday selling these kits among other things I had the inspiration to add a yellow background. I decided on daffodil delight with a lace overlay. This was super easy to do by simply adding spray adhesive to the back of the lace paper.

Good Things Grow sampler with delightfully detailed laser cut paper background

Here is a close up so that you can see the detail from the Delightfully Detailed laser cut paper I used for the background.

Paper Pumpkin is a fantastic monthly kit that you can use in so many ways. This was a card kit that I turned into a framed sampler. Subscribe now before the price goes up in June.

The best part is that I used a Paper Pumpkin kit from March 2018 called Good Things Grow to make this sampler. The kit was a beautiful card kit, but I turned it into a sampler instead using even the envelopes which I thought were too pretty to mail!! Be sure to subscribe to this amazing monthly kit before the price goes up in June.

That’s all for today, my wrists are still terribly sore. My new keyboard tray is coming Wednesday so that will make my desk work ergonomically correct. Thanks so much for stopping by and don’t forget to get your Paper Pumpkin Subscription before the price goes up. You need to get a prepaid subscription in either 3, 6 or 12 months to lock in the low price. Here is a quick link to make it easy for you, or message me if that is easier. Let me know if you want a sampler kit and together we’ll figure out the details of shipping and payment. Some day I will have a simpler PayPal button process. That is on my to do list in the coming week(s).

Here is a sneak peek for June, just to give you an idea of what to expect.

Sheltering Tree with Watercolour Smash Technique

Hello stampers. It was time to ink up Sheltering Tree before it retires and I used what I call the watercolour smash technique. If you watch the video you will see why I called it that. With my limited mobility in my wrists I did mess up a little on the bike, the tires look a little thick, so now it is a mountain bike.

Sheltering Tree with the Watercolour Smash technique. This set is retiring at the end of May.

I did a video showing how this card was made and during the process I got an ugly melon mambo smear on that beautiful white section. How to fix it? I simply stamped a second tree!!

An embellishment opportunity on this Sheltering Tree card.

The twine is from a Paper Pumpkin kit from last August called Blissful Blooms. I actually like this second card better than the first one!! I am keeping my writing to the point to save my wrists, so watch the video for the rest of the tips and tricks.

Order Sheltering Tree from The Pampered Stamper if you live in Canada. It retires at the end of May.

The stamparatus is perfect for adding the details and also for the two-step stamping of the tree. This is a set that you will use over and over for many different occasions. Trust me, you want this one in your repertoire.

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you live in Canada and don’t have a demonstrator, please shop with me. Just click on the links below and you will be taken straight to my online store.

Hand Delivered for All Occasions

Hello stampers. It is the season for lots of different celebrations including weddings, graduations and of course, birthdays and babies. Hand Delivered is great for all occasions! It is a two-step stamp that is so cute and versatile. I am going to use it for my coffee and a card class on Tuesday since I need a card that can do the job for various occasions. Not everyone needs a graduation card, so let’s see what I did with just one card and three different sentiments.

Hand Delivered is great for a bright and fun graduation card. You could also use the stack of books in this set but I wanted cheerful balloons. This host set is only available until May 31.

I could have used the stamp that has the stack of books with an apple on top but I really love these cheerful balloons. Maybe I’ll do the stack of books in my video. The balloons are just beautiful coloured with Blends. See below for the colours I used.

Hand Delivered is a host set that is only available until May 31 and it great for all occasions.

I liked grounding this card with a one inch strip of Wood Textures paper and then adding a pop of colour with the Metallic Ribbon in Petal Pink.

This Hand Delivered card really is for all occasions that require congratulations. Colour those balloons with our beautiful Blends and they will almost pop off the page!

The first time I used this stamp I thought the buttons were supposed to go on the skirt. That looked terrible because the balloon strings also ended up on the skirt and the hands were all bunched up in her waist. So be careful to put the buttons above the skirt. Does this sound crazy to you? Well, this is a two step stamp. The skirt and the legs is one stamp and the balloons with the hands and the blouse is another stamp. Here is a picture of the stamp set so you can see what I am talking about.

Hand Delivered is perfect for all Occasions

One last tip. If you want to pop up one of the balloons, our 1 1/4″ circle punch is perfect for the job. Sadly this punch is retiring and sold out. Our circle framelits will also do the job.

Hand Delivered is great for all occasions including graduation or teacher thank yous

Thanks so much for stopping by, I will share a video to show you how this set works and also a few tips and tricks on colouring with Blends. If you order online this month using the host code  TXE4JNCY you will get a chance to win this stamp set!

I realize that my video got cut short because my phone ran out of space but I am on “Oma” duty right now, so I will redo the video when Leo is in bed this afternoon. Thanks for your patience!!
