Well hello stampers and happy Tuesday to you. Have you seen all the buzz about the One Horse Open Sleigh suite from Stampin’Up! Trust me, it is worth it! I got right on the bandwagon as soon as I saw the paper. You see, I had the paper before I got the bundle. It wasn’t really affordable to have the bundle in the Netherlands AND in Canada, so I ordered the paper in the Netherlands knowing that I was going to Canada soon where I could pick up the bundle. This paper makes it very easy to make a beautiful card. Check out the photo below of all the cards that I have made so far.
A Very Special Deal
I believe in this suite so much that I am offering a five card (yes, FIVE!) in the mail to everyone who orders the suite through me. You will also get the free pdf tutorial that I wrote for the 8 cards shown above. Check out the graphic below and you will see the five cards that you will get for free in the mail. The kit will include card bases, all cardstock layers and any die cuts that are not included in the One Horse Open Sleigh suite. You will also get the embellishments and ribbon or twine. No stamped images will be included as that is not allowed by SU policy. The measurements for the patterned paper will be found in the pdf tutorial.
Inspiration from Berdien Weideveld
I first met Berdien at OnStage in Vienna and she is a lovely and talented Stampin’Up! demonstrator who is also a member of the Artisan Design Team. She made such a beautiful card with the One Horse Open Sleigh suite that I just had to case it. There is also a video tutorial for you to watch so you can make it yourself.
Video Tutorial
This is a casual video tutorial that I originally made for my team July meeting. You will gain some insight into how to case a card! Case means Copy And Share Everything. Thanks Berdien for your wonderful inspiration. You can find Berdien on Instagram here.

Hello stampers and happy Saturday to you! I am so excited to tell you about the brand new, first ever St. Jacob’s Fall Retreat! I have paired up with Northern Stamper, Tina Kvrgic to host this event. You can read all about the event here. We chose to host it in St. Jacob’s because this place is truly magical! The hotel where we will be sleeping and crafting is just minutes from the St. Jacob’s Market. This amazing retreat will take place from September 22 to September 24.
We have put together two options for you, the Basic Retreat for $139 and the Full Retreat for $199. This doesn’t include the hotel room fee but it does include the fee that we need to pay for the big crafting room. You will be getting a big goodie bag full of brand new products from the holiday mini catalog. Want to read all the details and reserve your spot? Just click here.
Once you have registered for the event, be sure to book your hotel room. We have reserved a block of rooms for a discount, so be sure to use the code FLC (I know it doesn’t make sense, but that is the code that they gave us) Here is the link for the hotel.
We are excited to be able to use this lovely place to host you! I grew up near St. Jacob’s and every year we would take our Dutch relatives who were visiting to see the market, the towns and the countryside.
What will you get??
You will get LOTS of great classes taught by both Tina and myself. There will be a complete pdf tutorial for you so that there is no pressure to get all the cards and 3D items made. If you are too busy chatting, eating and having fun doing touristy stuff, then you can finish them at home! We will get you an amazing amount of product including one stamp set in the basic retreat and two stamp sets in the full retreat package.
Tina was a Scout leader, so she has lots of great game ideas; be prepared to have fun! Of course there will be prizes as well.
Hot breakfast is included on Saturday and Sunday and coffee, tea and snacks will also be provided.
The best part is spending time with fellow crafters and being inspired and having fun with brand new products. Whenever I have attended stamping retreats, I go home energized and happy! I know you will too! I am hoping this will be the first of many retreats, and as a first time attendee, you will have the first chance at signing up for the next one. This will be a sold out event!!
Looking Forward to Pampering YOU!!
Having been on several retreats myself, I know what makes one magical! Tina and I are looking forward to pampering you, to inspiring you and most of all to having a LOT of fun. Who are you going to take with you??
Hello stampers. Would you like to hear how my last workshop went? All workshops are personalized to the needs of the people attending. This workshop was for my cousin and her daughter. Neither of them had stamped before, so this was a free introductory workshop so that they could discover the joy of stamping. We started with a delicious cup of coffee with some homemade apple cinnamon muffins.
Then I showed them how our ink pads and stamps work, how to use the paper trimmer and finally the amazing die cutting and embossing machine. It was quite the wow to see a plain piece of cardstock turned into a textured and embossed work of art! We made two cards so that they could try a few different techniques. Normally I would charge a €10 fee which would be refunded if an order for supplies is placed.
Contact me for a craft workshop
If you would like to try a new hobby, please contact me at 06 1866 0880 or at [email protected] This experience is best when there are between 2 and 4 participants. Children aged 8 and up are also welcome. Currently I am located at Bloemenlaan 6 in ‘s-Gravenzande, Zuid-Holland, but when I am in Canada you can find me in Chatham, Ontario at 81 Delaware Ave. Hosting in person workshops is one of my favourite things to do!
