St. Jacob’s Fall Retreat

Hello stampers and happy Saturday to you! I am so excited to tell you about the brand new, first ever St. Jacob’s Fall Retreat! I have paired up with Northern Stamper, Tina Kvrgic to host this event. You can read all about the event here. We chose to host it in St. Jacob’s because this place is truly magical! The hotel where we will be sleeping and crafting is just minutes from the St. Jacob’s Market. This amazing retreat will take place from September 22 to September 24.

St. Jacob's Fall Retreat

We have put together two options for you, the Basic Retreat for $139 and the Full Retreat for $199. This doesn’t include the hotel room fee but it does include the fee that we need to pay for the big crafting room. You will be getting a big goodie bag full of brand new products from the holiday mini catalog. Want to read all the details and reserve your spot? Just click here.

Once you have registered for the event, be sure to book your hotel room. We have reserved a block of rooms for a discount, so be sure to use the code FLC (I know it doesn’t make sense, but that is the code that they gave us) Here is the link for the hotel.

We are excited to be able to use this lovely place to host you! I grew up near St. Jacob’s and every year we would take our Dutch relatives who were visiting to see the market, the towns and the countryside.

What will you get??

You will get LOTS of great classes taught by both Tina and myself. There will be a complete pdf tutorial for you so that there is no pressure to get all the cards and 3D items made. If you are too busy chatting, eating and having fun doing touristy stuff, then you can finish them at home! We will get you an amazing amount of product including one stamp set in the basic retreat and two stamp sets in the full retreat package.

Tina was a Scout leader, so she has lots of great game ideas; be prepared to have fun! Of course there will be prizes as well.

Hot breakfast is included on Saturday and Sunday and coffee, tea and snacks will also be provided.

The best part is spending time with fellow crafters and being inspired and having fun with brand new products. Whenever I have attended stamping retreats, I go home energized and happy! I know you will too! I am hoping this will be the first of many retreats, and as a first time attendee, you will have the first chance at signing up for the next one. This will be a sold out event!!

Looking Forward to Pampering YOU!!

Having been on several retreats myself, I know what makes one magical! Tina and I are looking forward to pampering you, to inspiring you and most of all to having a LOT of fun. Who are you going to take with you??

Have a super day!!

Workshop with a Stampin’Up demonstrator

Here is the story of my last Stampin’Up! workshop

Stampin Up Workshop, stampin up demo

Hello stampers. Would you like to hear how my last workshop went? All workshops are personalized to the needs of the people attending. This workshop was for my cousin and her daughter. Neither of them had stamped before, so this was a free introductory workshop so that they could discover the joy of stamping. We started with a delicious cup of coffee with some homemade apple cinnamon muffins.

Then I showed them how our ink pads and stamps work, how to use the paper trimmer and finally the amazing die cutting and embossing machine. It was quite the wow to see a plain piece of cardstock turned into a textured and embossed work of art! We made two cards so that they could try a few different techniques. Normally I would charge a €10 fee which would be refunded if an order for supplies is placed.

Children aged 8 and up are also welcome. Currently I am located at Bloemenlaan 6 in ‘s-Gravenzande, Zuid-Holland, but when I am in Canada you can find me in Chatham, Ontario at 81 Delaware Ave. Hosting in person workshops is one of my favourite things to do!

Hands-on Projects

Participants will have the opportunity to create their own projects during the workshop. The projects may include making greeting cards, gift tags, bookmarks, scrapbook layouts, or home decor items. The workshop will provide all the necessary supplies, including stamps, ink, paper, and embellishments.

Product Showcasing

The demonstrator will highlight the latest Stampin’ Up! products, showcasing new stamp sets, dies, punches, designer series paper, and other crafting supplies. You’ll have the chance to see and experiment with these products, allowing you to make informed decisions about your future purchases.

Inspirational Ideas

The workshop will provide plenty of inspiration for your future crafting projects. You’ll see various design styles, color combinations, and creative uses of Stampin’ Up! products that can spark your creativity and help you come up with your own unique creations.

Remember that the specific activities and format of a Stampin’ Up! workshop may vary depending on the demonstrator and the event’s theme or focus. However, the overall goal is to have fun, learn new techniques, and create beautiful handmade projects using Stampin’Up! products.

YOU decide how your workshop can be!

My favourite thing is to host a workshop that fits what you want to achieve. For example, if you would like to get an exclusive host stamp set and other products for free, then you will want to invite guests who are coming with the intent of ordering supplies. This is much like a Tupperware party. Based on the total amount of orders, you will get free host products. All guests at the workshop will make two or three projects that you can help me choose based on your tastes and ability.

If you only want a fun night out, we might order kits for you and all your guests. It is also possible to tailor make a set of cards to make and we agree on the price ahead of time. Usually I will offer the class for free if a guest decides to place an order of $50 or more.
