Create With Us International Tutorial Bundle Team

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! I am so very excited to announce the brand new Create With Us International Tutorial Bundle Team. Our team features talent from all over the world and each tutorial will have a specific focus so that you get the most bang for your buck. To put that in a more genteel fashion, it will help you get the most value for your investment.

How to Get This Tutorial Bundle?

The next question will of course be, how can I get my hands on this bundle? Let me tell you. There are two ways. You can get for FREE with a $60 purchase and this purchase can include online orders for Stampin’Up! products or a combination of other things like Parcels in the Post, Virtual Coffee and a  Card class or other tutorials.

Let me give you an example. Our first tutorial will feature the Sweet Strawberry bundle. So if you order this bundle online AND you also get the Virtual Coffee and Card class for June which just happens to feature this same bundle then you will get this tutorial bundle for FREE.

The other way to get it is to simply pay $25 for it. All members of the Create With Us International Tutorial Bundle Team are charging the same price to keep it fair. The tutorials go “live” on the first of the month and then you will be able to find it on my tutorials page here.

So Cool Paper Pumpkin

Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Today I am going to show you the very happy and cheerful So Cool Paper Pumpkin kit. I really love this kit, even though it was geared especially for kids. The So Cool Paper Pumpkin kit has twelve cards in the shape of popsicles, rainbows and watermelon slices. There are two fun sticker sheets included for decorating your envelopes that are lined inside with pretty rainbow stripes.

So Cool Paper Pumpkin

This So Cool Paper Pumpkin is especially “cool” because it also coordinates with our Sweet Ice Cream suite. Just like outfits, there are so many more possibilities when there is increased coordination. I had a quick play with this kit yesterday and here is what I came up with. Let’s take a look.

Alternative Cards

I thought it might be fun to take the envelope apart and use that striped paper for an “awning” that you might see on an ice cream shoppe. Do you see a new product being used on this card? The awning was cut using a new die from the Basic Borders dies that will be in the new annual catalog. I cut the watermelon sticker up to make two wedges. Do you see the golden bee embellishment? They are also in the new catalog.  There was a smudge that needed covering up so this was the solution. Cute eh?

For the next card I used the Basic Borders dies from the new annual catalog to create the fancy edge along the card as well as the “bitten” popsicle look.

So Cool Paper Pumpkin

This easel card will be the feature for my video tutorial in my private Prime Time With The Pampered Stamper group on Thursday. For the third time I used the Basic Border Dies. I think they are going to be a staple in my repertoire.

God is so good and I am so very grateful. I hope you have a super day too.

Hand-Penned Z-Fold Card

Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Today I am sharing a Hand-Penned Z-fold card with you. I made this card the day before I left for Holland so that I could have it ready for our next Fab Four event. Do you want to hear how this Fab Four event started and what makes it special?

Fab Four

We call our event the Fab Four for two reasons. First, there are four fabulous demonstrators teaching the cards. Second, you go home with four fabulous cards. I started the event to expose my customers to a variety of teaching and creative styles. I had team members who were selling Stampin’Up! mainly as a hobby and this event was a great way for them to have fun teaching and also making a little money to put back into their business.

The other things that made it fabulous is the fun buffet of snacks that we would provide as well as 8 door prizes. It always adds to the fun when you have a chance at winning something too.

The COVID Effect

Of course with COVID, this event is no longer possible. Thankfully we had had one just before COVID hit but we were missing it and finally decided to try a virtual Fab Four in February. It was a success! We mailed our card packages to people all over Canada and we created a private Facebook group where we posted our video tutorials. That way people could make their cards at their own pace before the actual “event”.

On the day of the event we had a Zoom gathering. During this Zoom gathering we each introduced ourselves and talked about our card. Each demonstrator also showed a few more card samples using the same products or suite that had been used for the class card. We also drew names for the prizes. It was a great way to connect with other stampers and to have some much needed fun together.

Hand-Penned Card

For the Fab Four we are focusing on the new in colours:  Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Polished Pink, Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia. My Z-Fold card actually uses three of these colours:  Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. I am not going to share how the card is made because I will be doing that in the video for the event. I hope that you consider joining. The cost is only $25 which includes shipping anywhere in Canada.

Hand-Penned

Here is a closeup view of this pretty Hand-Penned card. I just love how these new in colours look together. Do you see the pretty new embellishments? They are called Loose Flower Flourishes. All of these products will be available on May 4 or you can get them now in your starter kit.

If you want to join our Fab Four event you can do so on the Facebook event here.

I am looking forward to making this Hand-Penned Z-Fold card with you. This paper was truthfully not originally at the top of my list but I am so glad I gave it a closer look.

Hugs from Holland

Just a personal note to share with you how wonderful it is to be back with Gerard in Holland. Yesterday after our online church service we took another drive into the countryside to the flower bulb fields. I wanted to get up close and personal with the hyacinth fields. The scent of those masses of flowers is just out of this world!

Lovely Welcoming Window

Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Today I am going to introduce you to the lovely Welcoming Window. This stamp set is more appropriate than ever! How we would all love to welcome people to our homes right now! Since that is not possible, we need to send a card that says “wish our paths would cross more often”. There is also a beautiful “Hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day.” and several other sayings in a very nice font.

Welcoming Window for Prime Time

I inked up this stamp set for the first time for my exclusive Prime Time with The Pampered Stamper group yesterday. Maybe you already know that I created this group as a response to COVID when I could no longer do my regular coffee and a card classes. It has become a wonderful personal space for a nice group of people. Each week I do a video tutorial and I send a prize to someone. Every month there is a free pdf tutorial so there is amazing value to this group. It costs only $10 a month to join and you can sign up here if you want to join in on the fun!

Lovely Welcoming Window

Here is the inside of one of the cards. My cards are quite simple but you can definitely create quite the scene with all the pots and vases and flowers. Be sure to have a good play with different colours and combinations, it’s a lot of fun to do that.

My Best Tip for This Set

I have a confession to make. When I see a lot of dies in a stamp set bundle I can be intimidated. That is why I waited to buy this set. When I finally went to ink it up I do what I usually do with new product. I stamped all the images in a few different colours to see what I liked best. Cut out all the dies  in a few colours and then lay them all out to be inspired.

I found that when you do this it is not as intimidating. In fact it is a little like playing with a doll house or paper dolls. So much fun to put all the pieces together for something pretty. If you’re not sure how certain stamps or dies go together, you can either experiment or you can do a Google search and see what other people have made with this bundle. For instance, I noticed that people used the hinges for the shutters both ways. This is art! No right or wrong.

Happy Mail?

I wasn’t sure of the certainty of travel so I didn’t post my usual Happy Mail in Holland contest. Now I think it might be a lot of fun. You can choose to send me mail in Holland as I will be here until May 25 or you can send it to my home in Chatham so I can have happy mail when I get home. Of course there will be a prize drawn from all who participate. My address in Holland is:

Bloemenlaan 6 ‘s-Gravenzande 2691JC The Netherlands

In Canada: 81 Delaware Avenue, Chatham, Ontario N7L 2W3 Canada

Thanks so much for joining me today. Be sure to check out my business Facebook page as I am posting daily videos from my experiences here in Holland. I hope you have a super day. Please remember that if you are local, there are new annual catalogs on the tote on my front porch. Help yourself!

Sand and Sea Suite

Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Today I am going to share with you my Sand and Sea Suite projects. Before leaving for Holland I did a video showing my projects that I made using the Sand and Sea Suite that I based my Parcels in the Post on. That is a whole other story!!

Sand and Sea Suite

What makes the Sand and Sea Suite special? In my opinion, it is the amazing way in which the embossing folder, the stamps and the dies all work together in the most unique way. First of all you use the largest die as a template on your Stamparatus. Be sure to lay it face down so that the cutting side is on the bottom. Then you lay the coordinating stamps in the right spaces and close the hinged plate so that the stamps will adhere to it. Remove the die. Now you are ready to ink up the stamps and stamp them on your cardstock.

After stamping your images you can once again use the die to cut them out. Carefully put your die cut into the embossing folder and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. Wow!! Now you have stamped, cut and embossed images for beautiful card making or scrapbooking.

In the suite there is also pearlescent paper that looks like the inside of a seashell, Opal Rounds that really do look like opals as well as a gorgeous embossing folder and designer series paper.

My Video

The live video showing my four cards was almost an hour long and really showed quite well how marvelous this suite is. The problem? There was no sound!! I am hoping to redeem this situation using the marvels of technology rather than doing the whole thing over. I did not take this suite of products with me to Holland so I cannot redo the cards. Thanks to everyone who tried so diligently to try and let me know what was going on.

Back in Holland

I am so very happy to be back in Holland again. Travelling is not for the faint of heart. I am ever so thankful to be able to travel but with the added documentation necessary and several time-sensitive COVID tests needed, it really does add to the stress level.

According to my count there were only 18 people on the plane, so social distancing was not an issue. Five people got off in Amsterdam and the rest continued to elsewhere in Europe. When we finally fly again on a full plane it will probably feel claustrophobic!

Flowering Fields

The best part of the day after reuniting with Gerard was our drive to the flowering bulb fields. Seeing full fields of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths was just breathtakingly beautiful. There was a traffic jam at two o’clock in the afternoon because people were coming with their bike carriers so that they could cycle through the countryside to see all the flowering fields up close.

Thanks for joining me today, I hope to share more photos and videos of my travels while I am here. I know how much you all want to be able to travel and I am very aware of how blessed I am to have a travel exception. Sending you big hugs!!
