Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Baby Pull Toys is a fun and whimsical stamp set that is of course great for all baby cards. Do you remember the excitement when a little one finally starts walking? Soon after that they discover the fun of pull toys. Fisher-Price sure came up with a bunch of cute ones including the iconic telephone. My card was inspired by the Mini Catalog itself.
Baby Pull Toys Card
It wasn’t until I inked up this stamp set that I truly fell in love with it. The bold line images are just beautiful when you stamp and colour them. There is an elephant, a giraffe and a lion all riding on a pull toy. The sentiments are also adorable. Besides “it’s a boy” and “it’s a girl” there are “little baby, BIG LOVE”, “LOVE just got REAL” and “For the little one who TUGS on our heart strings”.
The twine on the front of this card is not merely decorative. When you pull the bow, the accordian fold pops open to reveal more cute pull toys.
A Few Measurements to Help
The thick basic white card base is standard 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″. Next is the striped paper from Snail Mail which is 4″ by 5 1/4″. The Balmy Blue mat is 2 3/4″ square and the all important white accordion fold piece is 2 1/2″ by 7 1/2″ scored at 2 1/2″ and 5″. The animals were coloured with Blends. I used a dard Real Red blend to draw a “string” hooking the pull toys together to form a sort of train. The Balmy Blue hearts were made using the dies from Many Hearts dies.
Free Bingo!
I thought it would be a good idea to plan a fun event before I leave for Holland. It’s becoming a big of a tradition to do an online event when I am back home in quarantine. To overcome the logistics of having to get everything shipped in time, I thought I would switch up the way things are done. Rather than buying a ticket, you now only have to purchase anything online from me for a minimum of $40. I will mail you the extra bits to complete your cards. Make sure that you have the Assorted Memories & More cards and envelopes. You will need three of the large cards to craft along with me. This little step greatly saves me on shipping costs and lets me offer a fun event for a very low cost. Here is the video.
The date for this event in Friday May 27 at 7pm EST. You will get a virtual Bingo card and your Zoom link after you have placed your online order. Deadline to register is May 12.
Excitement is Building
Tomorrow morning is my COVID test, Sunday I drive to my parents for one last visit and then on Monday evening I fly to the Netherlands to be reunited with Gerard! Almost all of my stamping tasks are done, just waiting for the ribbon to finish my virtual coffee and a card kits and then I can relax! I have the cards ready for my YouTube live video tomorrow to show what I did with my Sand & Sea Parcel in the Post. Thanks so much for joining me today. Have a super day!
Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Today’s project features Gingham Berry Blessings. I adore gingham! When I was finally able to shop in a Bath and Body Works store I was thrilled to buy some of the gingham themed products. I honestly bought it just so that I could make something cute with it using our Berry Blessings paper. Do you want to see it?
Gingham Berry Blessings
I love, love, love the Berry Blessings paper. I have hoarded quite a stash with it so that I can offer a class by mail with it. Stay tuned for details. You may have heard that I am hoping to fly to the Netherlands again on Monday to be with my love for five weeks. When I get back I will of course have to quarantine for two weeks and this might be the perfect time to do a fun online event.
All I know is that tomorrow I am going to make this cute project with my Prime Time girls. Let’s take a look at it.
Of course I couldn’t decide which gingham product I liked better. One has a small gingham pattern and the other a larger one, so I bought both. You can see them in the next picture.
See the Good
Do you see the cute little card beside the gift? I was thrilled to use the stamp set “See the Good” again. Did you know that it is retiring? I know I will keep it just for this great saying. I might end up adding a little ribbon or embellishments but I do like the clean and simple look. If you would like to join my Prime Time With The Pampered Stamper group for great weekly tutorials, prizes and a monthly pdf tutorial you can do so. It is only ten dollars a month, much cheaper than attending a class (not that is an option right now!) Click here to join.
Finding What You Need
Do you sometimes have a hard time finding what you want online? It’s so easy to get confused and not know where to look. Please remember that I am only a question away! I don’t consider it a bother to get a phone call, a text, an email or any other form of communication. In response to some questions I made a short video. Maybe it will help you too.
Thanks!
Thanks for joining me today. Today I worked in the garden with Rachel and we made three new flower beds! That meant digging up lawn which was a LOT of work. So rewarding though and amazingly I am not sore yet. My arms hurt but my back is fine. I was super careful not to do any twisting motions when lifting. Here are a few quick pictures. I am still waiting for more plant material but the main work is done! I hope you have a super day.
Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Today I am thrilled to share with you a sneak peek of the Beauty of Friendship stamp set. This is definitely one of my favourite stamp sets from the new annual catalog. As demonstrators we get early access to the new products so you could also get this in a starter kit or you can wait until May 4, 2021. Let’s take a look shall we?
Beauty of Friendship
We had a Stampin’Up! virtual event on Saturday and a version of this card was demonstrated. I forgot to take a screen shot so I don’t remember who the creator was or even if I came close to her design. Regardless, I thought it was brilliant and love how the bottom green part folds around the card and opens up to create a diorama view.
After I had the card finished I decided to add a watercolour sentiment to coordinate with the pretty birds. It really is all in the details isn’t it?
Here are two pictures showing you the stamp set and the dies as well as the beautiful coordinating paper called Beauty of the Earth.
A Fun Perk
One of the perks that I like most of being a demonstrator is that I get my hands on brand new product before anyone else. The discount is also pretty fabulous. For the life of me I cannot imagine why anyone would choose to pay full price for their stamping supplies. It simply isn’t necessary. Let me help you get a continual discount on your products!
If you don’t want to wait and you live in Canada, you can just click here to get your starter kit.
Thanks!
I’m so glad you stopped by today. It always makes me happy when people find my work valuable. Thanks for joining me today and have a super day!!
Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Today I am sharing my Sweet Ice Cream Class in the Mail. This is also known as my Virtual Coffee and a Card class but this sounds a little more user friendly. I am thrilled that this bundle is once again orderable. The punch had been unavailable for ordering for the last month or so.
How Does It Work?
How does my virtual coffee and a card class work? Every month I offer a different focus for my class in the mail and next month it is the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle. It costs $25 per month which includes postage anywhere in Canada. The challenge is that I cannot include stamped images so I try very hard to design cards that focus on our pretty paper, punches and die cuts. You can order the bundle that I am using online if you like or you can substitute with stamps that you already have.
The other option is to subscribe and then you receive a gift from me after 6 months as a special thank you for committing to this program. It is really nice to know ahead of time how many kits to make! Deadline to sign up is April 21. You can subscribe here.
If you do not like to use PayPal you can also pay with cash, cheque or etransfer.
Sweet Ice Cream Cards
Here are the cards that I will be making with you for the month of May. Every Tuesday at 10am I go live on both YouTube and Facebook to make one of the cards with you. You are welcome to play along with me even if you don’t get my kits. The beauty of the kits is in the instant gratification!
You may notice that I do not have any of those cute Ice Cream Corner sprinkles embellishments. I forgot to order them!! They would make a super cute addition to these cards no doubt. Perhaps I will write a tutorial for these cards as that would give people an alternative to subscribing to this class. If you would be interested in that option, let me know.
Thanks!
Thanks for much for joining me today, I always appreciate it. It’s a gorgeous spring day so I am going to get outside, mow the lawn and plant some daffodils. You are probably thinking, plant daffodils? Don’t you have to do that in the fall? Well, yes. Funny story. One of my dear customers gave me some bags full of bulbs and I ran out of time to plant them so they were still laying beside my garage. Two days ago I noticed daffodils blooming there! They bloomed right from the bags without being planted in the ground. I figured such determination deserves a reward, so they are going to be planted today.
Hello stampers and happy Wednesday to you. Today I am feeling exhausted and blessed. How is that possible in one sentence? Let me tell you.
For this blog post I don’t care what the “SEO” is. In case you didn’t know, that is search engine optimization. You have to write a blog in a certain way to make sure that people will find it easily through Google or other search engines. I’m also not concerned with “readability” or product lists. I just want to share a little personal stuff with you and be real.
Exhausted
I’ll start with the first part. Quite truthfully I am feeling exhausted. This probably has multiple reasons, the biggest one being witness to my Pap’s slow demise. The second one is chronic nosebleeds which have been a lot worse in the last week. They really seem to suck the life out of me. Now I have to battle the medical system. My doctor is almost impossible to see and when I did see him for this he refused to cauterize it. Everyone I have talked to who has experienced this has found this treatment to be super effective. That means I will have to find someone who will do this for me.
Blessed!
Today I was able to celebrate my grandson Leo’s fourth birthday. Four years ago I was on a train to Toronto with my team for OnStage where I was a presenter for Birthday Memories. You can see some of those projects here. Now I have four grandchildren and it is so wonderful. We were able to be together outside at Springbank Park in London.
The weather was just sublime and this park is so lovely. It was a tremendous blessing to just BE together. Hugs and cuddles are of course the perfect remedy for all ills.
Blessed By Happy Mail
I wasn’t planning on writing a blog post today because of the out of town birthday celebrations, but when I checked my mailbox tonight there were three cards waiting for me. One of them was a Christmas card that was mailed from the States at the beginning of December.
I thought I would share them with you since they made me so happy.
This lovely Christmas card was sent to me by Rhonda Gump who is one of my first YouTube supporters. Her encouragement over the past few years has been a huge blessing to me. This just goes to show that when you leave a comment on social media, whether it be a YouTube video, a blog post or something on Facebook, it really does have an impact. Never forget that successful people are just normal people too.
This card is just so lovely in its simplicity. Thanks to Janice Keels from Newfoundland. Janice and I have met through online events and she also encourages me with her support. The big Easter egg is actually patterned paper from the Playing with Patterns dsp. It feels like velvet!
This last card is from Tamara Bertram, a fellow Canadian demonstrator from Edmonton Alberta. Tamara has such a big heart and loves to encourage and celebrate people. She gave me this card to congratulate me on earning next years incentive trip. Do you see that beautifully embossed background? It is called Seabed and it is retiring, so be sure to snap it up before April 30. Whale of a Time is being carried over, but not as a bundle, so if you want the stamp set and the coordinating punch for 10% off, get it before April 30 as well.
Virtual Coffee and a Card Kits
I have two kits left featuring the stunning Hydrangea Hill paper. If you would like one, let me know, they are $25 including postage anywhere in Canada.
That’s it for now. I am going to have a nice piece of carrot cake and a cup of herbal tea. Thanks for joining me and do take care of yourself and your loved ones. Tomorrow we go back into lockdown with a stay at home order in effect. Good thing I have lots of stamps ink and paper to keep my busy. Have a super day!
