Hello stampers! Fall is definitely in the air here in southern Ontario so I was inspired to use this Paper Pumpkin kit, The Gift of Fall. For the first time Stampin’Up! has offered an add-on kit. They did this because the kit was gift bags for Thanksgiving and not everyone likes making bags even though they are adorable.
The Gift of Fall Add-on Kit
The add on was a pack of 24 note cards and envelopes that would coordinate with the rest of the products in the Paper Pumpkin kit. I saw this is a great opportunity for me to save time and to show the versatility of Paper Pumpkin. These gorgeous cards will be the feature of next week’s coffee and a card class. Coordination is one of Stampin’Up!s great selling points. When you don’t have to scramble to make things match and look good it not only saves time, it also creates good energy and fun stress free crafting. The add on kit is still available for purchase and so is the refill kit. Beautiful fall crafting is only a click away.
Here is the Paper Pumpkin refill kit. You must be a Paper Pumpkin subscriber to be able to purchase the refills.
The Cards
Let’s cut to the chase and see what I came up with last night. I love making alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin supplies and I think you would too. The best part is that it all comes in a box with accessories and all.
All I added to this card was some die cuts from the Flourish dies. One was cut from gold foil paper and the other from merry merlot cardstock. It was just the extra detail I was looking for. Both the ribbon and the gold sequins are from the kit.
Do you see the stamped background? Any idea what I used? It’s the new copper Delicata ink pad. I also used it for the sentiment and then I stamped again in Memento for a shadow. This could be a bit tricky but I just eyeballed it and it worked out. You just have to hold your tongue the right way!!
For this last card I made a crumb cake card base with a layer of merry merlot. I cut down the white banner to three inches and then I used a piece of the envelope flap to make the crushed curry strip on the banner. The leaf was turned upside down and sponged with bermuda bay. The colourful banner is from the kit as is the linen thread and the gold sequins. The background was embossed in gold with the Paper Pumpkin Gift of Fall stamp.
Delicata Metallic Ink
This lovely new product adds a gorgeous touch to these cards. I used copper even though the sequins are gold. The reason? It was the only one I had and it did work. These ink pads are not cheap at $15 so I wanted to try one before I bought all three. It comes in golden glitz, silvery shimmer and celestial copper. Refills are also available. One of my favourite papers in the holiday catalog is the Brightly Gleaming paper and it has copper in it so this would coordinate perfectly don’t you think?
Online Clubs
Before I leave you for the day I thought I would remind you that I am offering an online club called the High Flyer club. You can read all about it here. I am also considering doing a monthly online technique club. Both of these clubs would feature exclusive videos and cards and a private Facebook group where we can interact. You would take turns receiving host benefits using a host code. Stay tuned, hopefully I will have more details on this next week.
Thanks so much for joining me today. The holiday catalog is now live so you can order all the beautiful products in my online store. Please do use the current host code: ZQKK7SAB.
Have a super day and be sure to make the world a better place today, one card at a time!
Hello stampers, I’m back with a gorgeous Come Sail Away sampler. It is so hard for me to stay away from this Come Sail Away suite as I am always drawn to the water and to all things nautical. I also love samplers! What about you? What’s your go to set in this catalog? Do you love making samplers too? This one is a 12 x 12 and will fit in either a regular frame or a shadow box. Mine is in a dark shadow box and I think it might look nicer in a simple white frame.
The Sampler
What makes this Come Sail Away Sampler so awesome is that it is so very easy and quick to make. The Memories and More pack make it this way. Three of the sections are made using the beautiful laser cut cards in this kit. I simply matted them with night of navy 1/4 inch bigger than the cards. I will include a list of supplies that you will need to make this sampler yourself at home. The whole thing took me about an hour to make.
Some Tips
Did you know that this sampler was made using no stamps at all? This is a great beginner project for that reason. I also thought it would be very nice to include a memorable picture in the bottom panel where it says celebrate today. That would add the perfect personal touch. These cards were designed to be used for scrapbooking but they can also be used for cards. In fact, Stampin’Up! makes special cards and envelopes to coordinate with these cards. If you are like most people and sometimes find yourself wishing you had more hours in a day, you might want to check out this product line. You can keep it simple or you can go fancy, but either way it is a wonderful time saver!
Facebook Live
Every Tuesday at 7pm EST I do a Facebook live video showing the cards that we made at coffee and a card that morning. This time we used the Come Sail Away suite. Here is the link so you can check it out too.
Thanks so much for joining me today, sorry it has been a while since I posted. This was due to my wanting to spend the last week of vacation with my kids and grandkids but also because I needed to rest my wrist and thumb some more. The healing is simply not happening. Tomorrow I am going to try acupuncture for the first time!
I always look forward to seeing your comments and every online order excites me and brings me deep gratitude.
Hello stampers did you know that Stampin’ Up! is raising money for mental health with a brand new stamp set? The stamp set is called Nature’s Beauty. Four dollars from every stamp sold is donated to mental health organizations. I find it so fitting that Stampin’Up! is doing this awesome thing. We all know that the joy of stamping is great for mental health; it is such a stress reliever. On the other side, it is such a mental health boost to receive a beautiful hand made card. This is a beautiful stamp set with animals and trees that are perfect for colouring. I want to show you what I have done with this set.
The Cards
The first card was made because I wanted to showcase these stamp sets for my Christmas Bingo event on Friday. At this event we play lots of Bingo and everyone wins a prize of product from the new holiday catalog. We also make four simple projects using holiday catalog products. There are a lot of people at this fun event so the projects have to be simple. I decided that a monochromatic card would be perfect. The colours are also emotionally soothing, very appropriate for a mental health awareness campaign! Here is my first card:
Here is the second card, and lastly be sure to watch the video to see how the last card was created and why. I hope you fall in love with this stamp set and help raise money for mental health awareness.
The Video
Thanks so much for joining me today, I am especially proud of working together with such a great company that is always looking for ways to help out. Mental health is a huge issue these days and card making is a great way to make a difference in so many ways. Have a super day!
Hello stampers. Do you like paying full price for things, or do you get a particular thrill when you find a great deal? Did you know that you have an opportunity to become a discount shopper with Stampin’Up? There is an amazing deal available on the starter kit until the end of August and it is available to everyone. You do NOT have to sell anything in order to qualify for this deal. It will cost you only $135 and you get to fill your box with whatever you want for a total value of $205. If you are like me and live in Ontario, Canada, you would normally have to add 10% shipping and 13% tax to this and with a regular order it would cost you $252.00. Wouldn’t you rather pay $135? I made a video this morning explaining it all. You can see it here.
Opportunity after class tomorrow
If you are coming to coffee and a card class tomorrow then you will have an opportunity after class to sign up for the starter kit with my help. Make sure you bring your wish list of products for a total value of $205. You cannot go over even by a penny. You will also need your social insurance number and a credit card. Bring your laptop if you also want me to help you set up your home page so you can place your own orders right away. You will get a $14 credit to use on your first order in September. I am also hosting a Diva Day on August 29 where you will get to meet other people who are either discount shoppers, hobby demonstrators or business demonstrators. You choose what you want to do with your kit!

For Details Tune into Facebook Live
Every Tuesday at 7pm EST I do a Facebook live on my Pampered Stamper Facebook page. You will learn how I did the cards and I will also share the measurements as well as any tips and tricks for this suite of products. I will also remind you of all the benefits of becoming a discount shopper!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day.
Hello stampers! I am finally able to share with you a video on how to do online ordering. I have wanted to do this for so long!! Right now the system we have isn’t the most user friendly, so I knew that a video showing you exactly how to do it would be most helpful. As you might know, I am going to be spending larger chunks of time in Holland with the love of my life, Gerard. That means that it is super important for you to know how to order online as I will not be there to package up your orders and have you pick them up at my house!
Minimum Shipping
The important thing to know is that the minimum shipping cost is $9.95 for any orders under $100. So if you order something for $15 or $89, the shipping charge would be $9.95. As soon as you go over $100 then the shipping is a flat 10%. It makes total sense to order online and have the convenience of your products coming straight to your door. If you order $200 or more, then you also get host rewards.
Host Code
If your order is less than $200 please use the host code. That way the host rewards don’t go to waste. The way it works is that all orders using the host code go on one “workshop”. At the end of the month I add what I need and then I can redeem the host rewards. In the past I have used these host rewards as random contest prizes, to keep the costs of my classes lower and as prizes for my team. At the moment these orders are not that frequent, but I am hoping that will change! In the future I hope to have a simple rewards program in place that for every $200 you spend you get $20 in product credit. The current host code is always in the sidebar of my blog. Here is a video showing how to order online.
I hope that you find this information helpful, if you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Thanks so much for stopping by! My next video will be to show you how to order the starter kit so you can become a discount shopper! Have a super day.
I didn’t want to have a blog post without any pictures, so I thought I would share this one of Rachel and I in Santorini, Greece. These incentive trips are definitely one of the things I love the most about my job and it all started with hosting a Stampin’Up! workshop. Isn’t that amazing?
